Getting it gooder and harder in the San Francisco Bay Area
American Thinker ^ | 8 Aug, 2023 | Monica Showalter

In the Bay Area, the locals are being worn down by bums, chaos, drugs, assaults, and robberies, and yet still can't change their voting patterns.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, we are seeing a lot of social media videos, both homebrew and news reports, of people responding to the breakdown of law and order with heartrending stories about what a nightmare they live in.

Here's the crying woman who was assaulted by a drug-addled bum as she carried groceries, scared to death to leave her house after dark: [numerous tweets at link]

While the breakdown of law and order affects single white women, don't think it doesn't affect anyone else. Fact is, blacks and minorities are the hardest hit. It would be fascinating to see the New York Times finally have a story to hang on to that famous knee-jerk headline interpretation of events any time anything negative happens.

{from one tweet:

Multiple people have told me they're considering moving back to Hong Kong after being in San Francisco happily for decades.

When people would rather take their chances with the CCP than live in SF, you know our current approach, being a crime magnet, is devastating.]

Imagine that -- preferring to take one's chances with the Chicom rulers instead of the lawless chaos of San Francisco. It certainly affirms writer Robert Young Pelton's observation that the foremost human right is personal security.

That's the whole thing in a nutshell.

A little Free Republic drama in script form:

Patient: Doctor! Doctor! It hurts when I do this.
Doctor: So, don't do that.
Patient: What kind of advice is that!!!!

> …and yet still can’t change their voting patterns. <

Every liberal lives by this mantra: “This time it will be different.”

So they might be disgusted and horrified by what their city has become. But they will still vote straight D in the voting booth. Because this time it will be different.

That’s a very tough mindset to change.

Normal, productive citizens cannot exist freely side-by-side with psychos, addicts and criminals. The government thinks restraining the latter group is too expensive and mean so the normals must build their own fortress prisons at their own financial and mental expense.

You know, this kind of posting annoys the hell out of me.

Our cities are being sacked, the nation is losing irreplaceable territory, port facilities, etc - and the only thing most of you think should be done is “owning the libs”.

I looked into my wallet for some “care” but couldn’t find any.
One thing I’d place a bet on is if the store owner busted a cap in the ass of the robber, the cops would have been there fast...to arrest the owner with the DA hot on her heels to prosecute.

I was shocked to see the 1700 sq ft house we sold in SF was up to $2million about 6 months ago. It is down to $1,600,000. dropping about $80,000 per month.

The libs are defunding the police, ignoring the looting, opening the borders to illegal immigration and drug trafficking, encouraging supply chain disruptions, etc. I don’t want to “own libs”, I want them to stop what they are doing.

Anything that can't go on, though, won't.

Well, yes, pretty much by definition, but the question at hand is "how bad will it get first?" It might be relevant to reflect that Detroit took on bad leadership in 1974 and hasn't recovered yet. People blaming that on the collapse of the auto industry (it hasn't) and general economic downturns over the last 50 years might want to consider those empty office buildings in SF and wonder if history is rhyming again.

I'm not even sure anymore that Californians vote for this. California led the nation in the 2000s, and was a shining example for leftists in 2020, with 1000 tweaks and distortions to electoral systems, from corruption of voter rolls, automatic registration, ballot harvesting, mass mail-in voting with meaningless verification, no ID voting, extending election periods, etc. etc..

When Californians do surprise and vote against a leftist initiative (like gay marriage) TPTB have a court declare it all invalid anyway.

The ONLY way to win 2024 is to show America on the MSM that THIS is coming to their home towns very very soon.
SF was in ‘98 one of the richest cities in the world.
20 years later it is collapsing into Detroit.

The big problem is the MSM will NEVER cover it on the 7pm news.
Only the news junkies get their info from Youtube.
Faceplant will delete anything critical of Pelosi and SF.

SFran needs a powerful earthquake with all the infrastructure wrecked beyond repair in the process. Fires, explosions, after shocks... etc. Anything else is a just a band aid hanging off and letting dirt into the wound.

My “Give a Shitter” broke a long time ago on these liberal cities.

They deserve what they get.

“When we talk about a broken political system, it may be that people who are unable to change their voting patterns no matter what happens to them, even if they are driven out of their cities or terrified of going out at night, may be what makes it broken. “

Liberals are incapable of connecting dots.

Cause and effect is a foreign concept to them.

Things just happen.
