Bullock met Randall when he photographed her son's birthday party in 2015. They started dating shortly after.
Sandra Bullock's longtime partner, Bryan Randall, has died after a private battle with ALS, his family revealed on Monday. According to a statement obtained by Yahoo Entertainment, the photographer — who started dating the Oscar-winning actress in 2015 — "passed away peacefully" over the weekend. He was 57.
"It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS," his family shared. "Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours," his family added. The Randall family concluded, "At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."

Why indeed? It makes no sense, but it's quite common in Hollywood.
May he rest in peace. But 8 years is a longtime partner, really?
I have a couple of friends who ultimately sucummed to that horrible disease. Just watching them waste away over time was heart breaking
Of course, there is no time for goodbyes, so it's not perfect.
She may be the last breathing human to know how to use sea shells.
Only if the "B" in your screen name stands for "Bacon." ;-)~
She stuck with him to his end speaks well of her.
Some people behave very differently in private than they do in public. Some people are hard to live with whether they are Hollywood celebrities or not.
Well, it might be considered 'longtime' in Hollywood.
I don’t think I’ve seen “Demolition Man” or “The Net” but my favorites are “The Blind Side”, (based on a true story), “The Proposal”, “Hope Floats”, “While You Were Sleeping”. I think she handles so well so many versatile roles...without faltering or seemingly acting..natural in other words...
The “Blind Side” and “The Proposal” are on TV constantly so I’m more familiar with them...
I think you’d like them. Enjoy!!!
“other than marrying Jessie James”
Women instictually think they can “fix” a man. That’s what happened there I would guess.......she found out the hard way, some men are just flat out freakin’ morons.....for all his mechanical talents, Jessie James is one.
Every time I see that dumbass I just wanna bust him in the nose on general principle......what a dick.
That’s a lifetime in Hollywood Years.
I guess I should do more research on her.Perhaps judging her on one film is unfair.
RIP.
I’ve enjoyed her performance in every movie of hers I’ve seen.
Sticking by a “longtime partner” through a nasty terminal illness speaks well of her character in real life.
Very sad, it’s a horrible disease.
While I would certainly be content to give her a roll in the hay, she is a bit over rated and beginning to get a little long in the tooth. Neither of which is a personal slight. We all get old. I’ve already done that.
She’s done great movies. Definitely see demolition man, two weeks notice, the proposal, the blind side and a time to kill. I think you will change your mind.
