A snake fell out of the sky and landed on a woman mowing her yard.
The bizarre incident didn’t stop there. Peggy Jones was then attacked by a hawk.
Jones was on her tractor mowing at her home in Silsbee, near Beaumont on Tuesday afternoon. She describes how suddenly a snake fell on her, wrapping around her arm.
“The snake was squeezing so hard, and I was waving my arms in the air. And then, this hawk was swooping down clawing at my arm over and over,” explains Peggy Jones. “I just kept saying, ‘Help me, Jesus, Help me, Jesus.’’

Yes indeed. In my case, my sister heard my screams as I was being attacked by the snake and the hawk. She came running out of the house, and was immediately bitten by a moose.
My sister was interviewed on the nightly news, and she became a local celebrity.
All I got was this lousy t-shirt.
now that’s what i call a bad hair day
Ouch.
We would arrive Friday, hunt Saturday and Sunday then return home on Monday.
Every Saturday night we would take the land owner, Ken and his wife, out to dinner in a neighboring town then return to the Logan bar and drink some beers and shoot pool with Ken.
There was a huge farm hand who hung out in that bar whose nick name was Jesus.
When we we asked Ken how he got his name "Jesus", Ken said "well, the first time anyone ever met him, the first thing they would say was "holy Jesus!" because he was so big.......LOL!
The hawk just wanted it’s snake back.
Agree. I keep finding odd things in my yard - partial pizza slices, dead rodents, etc, and realized there was a either a nest or meeting place for hawks in the neighbor’s tree that covers part of my yard. They drop everything and I have to watch that my dogs don’t pick up their droppings.
“he just dropped his lunch and wanted it back.”
Yes. Not too long ago I saw a hawk flying high in the sky with a snake dangling from its talons. I had no idea they were that bold, or hungry.
weird things like that happen near Beaumont.
And yes, there was no way in hell I could not click on that link.
I just mowed my yard yesterday, but snakes falling from the sky was not a concern for me because we don’t have snakes in Alaska.
OUCH!
What a mess!
I always cover up well when outside mostly because of ticks and the risk of getting stung.
I guess then I might be somewhat safe from a hawk attack.
Good hawk.
I hate tree rats.
I was sitting on my back porch a while back. A hawk swooped down and grabbed a cat that was in my yard. He flew off with the cat screaming.
Imagine the story she can tell at parties.
If that happened to me or someone I was with, I wouldn’t be thinking about taking pictures of the carnage.
Maybe she has a website and is an “Influencer”.
That sucker was heavy too. Poor hawk could hardly get any lift.
Was she calling for divine protection or help for the guy she hired to run the Weed Wacker?
When they have the Eagles at the ball fields before the game they are very careful not to get on camera when the Eagles swallows the damn rat in one gulp.
Will...not...laugh...hysterically...
I saw a little kitten sitting next to the highway and stopped and picked it up. It had talon marks on both sides of its back. It had gotten away somehow.
That hawk wasn’t giving up his meal easily.
