Well, they weren’t going to start singing now.
It’s four matches at the World Cup and four mostly-silent national anthems for the U.S. Women’s National Team after the music stopped at the Round of 16 against Sweden.
Vlatko Andonovski made a few changes to his starting 11 against the Swedes, and a couple more players than usual sang along with “The Star Spangled Banner” while the rest stood quietly.
Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz and Lindsey Horan were again amongst the five who sung, along with Trinity Rodman and Emily Fox.
The coaching staff was again quiet.
The Swedish team, meanwhile, belted out their national anthem “Du Gamla, Du Fria.”

If you won’t sing the national anthem, you have no business representing the country whose flag you wear.
A little sierra tango foxtrot uniform is good for the soul.
The Trump curse lives on.
Hopefully Joe and Jill will invite them over for a Happy Meal to cheer them up. Joe and Jill are going to have to put a happy face on this loss before the next election.

Best part is the freak show gal missed one of the shots that could have given them (notice I didn’t say the US) a win.

agree. They’re the first team I’ve pulled against from this country for that very reason....they don’t represent US.
Look at it this way: Both Sweden and the United States are now rejoicing.
He deserves some of the blame. If he wasn't allowed to cut Rapinoe from the team, then he could have resigned because he wasn't allowed to do his job in the first place.
Damn…. IF ONLY THE USA HAD A TRUE TRANS WOMAN PLAYING INSTEAD OF PURPLE-HAIRED RAPINOE.
I didn't pay much attention but also the men's national team in basketball. Although LeBron James has not been on the team since 2012 so I guess that helps. He's the most anti-American player from the NBA.
