A nice punt. But those critters are pretty harmless, mostly all noise, sorta like what my dad calls small dogs like that as Redneck burglar alarms. Chihuahua’s the same thing.
I knew a couple that bought two of them. The big one was frightened by their cat, jumped over the back of a chair, and broke its leg when it hit the floor.
I’m staying at my daughter while I pursue chemo treatment. She has a Pom that I “dog-sit” while she is at work.
He is probably the smartest dog I’ve ever known, and a natural empath. He’s far less of a barker then any of the various breeds of dog in my neighborhood - and he doesn’t strike up a conversation with neighborhood dogs when they start howling.
When he hears an intruder at night (we have lot of coons and coyotes) he comes to me to tell me about it rather than stand at the back door and yap. He does get a bit carried away when my daughter comes home from work ;’}
The idea of casually shooting him as an annoyance, much less any kind of threat makes my blood boil.
