A former chief of Russian space agency Roscosmos has voiced doubt over the authenticity of the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing.
“About 10 years ago, when I worked in the government, I sent an official request to Roscosmos to provide me with documentary evidence of the Americans' stay on the moon,” Dmitry Rogozin said in a statement on Telegram on Sunday.
Rogozin said that he was “embarrassed” about the return of Soviet cosmonauts from space expeditions barely able to stand on their feet and undergoing long recoveries, while US astronauts crawled out of their lunar ships, in his words, “like cucumbers from the garden.”
Rogozin further said that he continued to search for evidence on the US landings on the Moon while working at Roscosmos, but said he could not find anything other than the “angry accusations” of some academics who claimed that he undermined Russia’s “sacred cooperation with NASA.”
Rogozin also said he received a call from a high-ranking official accusing him of "aggravating the international situation" with his doubts about the Apollo 11 landing.
“I did not undermine or aggravate anything, but only by virtue of my nature I tried to get to the bottom of the details and establish, at least for myself, the true state of affairs in the issue of exploration of the Moon by our competitors. It was not clear to me how the United States, at that level of technological development of the ‘60s in the last century, did what they still cannot do now,” Rogozin said…

Now I’m not surprised that you are a Peeper.
There are people who insist the earth is flat and zero-G is fatal. I make it a point not to argue with them.
Most here are anti-American trolls.
And watch, when the Chinese land on the moon they will proclaim it as fact and ‘First Man On The Moon’. It’s like the Muslims conquering an area and turning the churches and shrines of other religions into mosques, then proclaiming ‘it has always been a mosque’.
They are bigots. That’s all. Lots of people, and I mean Lots, hate liberty. They want a Dear Leader, to be told what to think, say and do. Freedom is too hard for them.
This was 1969. No such level of sophistication existed to be able to fake such a complex event to all those workers.
Come on (man). NASA has been running multiple much more sophisticated and complicated programs than Apollo.
“That’s impressive testimony, but nothing anyone can say will ever convince the person you addressed it to!”
Before 9/11 I was usually able to get in to places at JSC that are off the tours because I had a relative and friends who worked there. If the moon landings were fake there would have been 100’s if not 1000’s of people involved. There were far too many “taggers” involved to fake it. FYI, we called the engineers who worked at JSC “taggers” because the more they did the more access “badges” or tags” were around their necks. You would see them at lunch somewhere and some had a lot of badges. Lol.
A lot of those men and women were such straight-laced nerds that they would have nothing to do with any kind of hoax. Men I knew like Chris Kraft and Charlie Duke were/are not dishonest people.
I have been watching out for estate sales in the area for years because sometimes the person who has passed away worked at NASA. I’ve collected all sorts of stuff and have seen countless documents and manuals related to Gemini/Apollo/Shuttle stacked up in a garage at these sales.
My days roaming around NASA came to an end when I saw a fellow there and said to him “you should be ashamed because you bumped someone off a ride to satisfy your own ego”. That fellows name was John Glenn. Another story.
It’s pretty simple, there is no way you could have so many people from NASA, NASA contractors and the media keep such a secret for so long.
And what of the moon rocks? We brought back parts of the moon. I’ve seen the rocks myself and have a friend who was tracking down some of the rocks NASA gave away. Why would NASA give away “fake” moon rocks that could easily be analyzed and proven to be fake. Here is a page about my friend:
We went to the moon and came back. We will be back there soon.
Are you an engineer of any kind? (I am, BTW.) Ever worked in manufacturing of any kind?
There's a whole lot of work involved in getting from "knowing how to do something" technical to actually doing it.
Very little of the infrastructure or production capability built for Apollo still exists today. In a number of cases, you wouldn't want to use it even if you had it, because we have much better ways of doing stuff today. (Example: the guidance system for the Saturn V cost half a million dollars in 1969. Your cell phone has more computing power.)
You will no doubt come back with, "Then why aren't we there already?" Easy: a cell phone isn't a guidance system for a moon rocket.
Just like producing spare parts for B-52s and other old timers is pain in the ass.
Some people just don't get it. It's easier to believe in conspiracy nonsense.
“Are you an engineer of any kind? (I am, BTW.) Ever worked in manufacturing of any kind?”
Nope. And you’re incredibly insulting to real engineers by stating that with today’s technology and knowledge that we can’t now do what was apparently EASILY done over 50 years ago.
“There’s a whole lot of work involved in getting from “knowing how to do something” technical to actually doing it.”
Your first argument was that there is not enough money to go back. That was proven wrong, so now you say we don’t have the technology. And that’s the same argument that other moonbats like you use to explain away our inability to “return” to the moon. So where the hell is the technology?? What happened to it, when and by whom? TELL ME. You cant because it never existed!
I know you’re lying and you
know you’re lying. Give it up.
Twelve years (they started when Sputnik flew), multiple billions of dollars, and a workforce of 400,000+ skilled people is not "EASY," and it's ridiculous to suggest that it is.
I just reported your unwarranted and unprovoked personal attack on me to the mods, BTW. I hope they ban you; you're way out of line.
Absolutely done talking to you.
“Just like producing spare parts for B-52s and other old timers is pain in the ass.”
Not a pain in the ass At All if you still have the technology. Something of that importance does not get lost, not in this day and age. Even if they started from scratch, it should be FAR easier this time around. Not to mention bigger, better and faster than ever.
“Twelve years (they started when Sputnik flew), multiple billions of dollars, and a workforce of 400,000+ skilled people.”
We still have ALL those resources, except we’ve had far longer than 12 years to get back to the moon.
You want me banned for calling you a moonbat? OK then.
I’m still waiting for answers from you about the mythical “lost technology.” Maybe it’s in Atlantis?
I like to vacation in DIFFERENT places.
Easily?
“Houston - we have a problem.”
No, but THIS will get you a stern talking to:
I know you’re lying and you know you’re lying.
Tell that to USAF. They have the whole special unit basically reverse engineering spare parts for old timers. You can't produce them just like that because the machines manufacturing them were scrapped long time ago and the modern ones require totally different, digitized technical documentation. And often there's no existing documentation at all.
Besides, it's not about re-creating huge space rockets from the 60’s with their > 10% risk that astronauts won't get back to Earth. It's about making the whole thing safe, cheap and more useful than leaving the flag and bringing a few rocks.
