Steve Martin used to do a stand-up routine where he would claim, “Farrah Fawcett never once called me...and after all the time I spent holding her poster up with one hand!”

I remember that story that her hair spelled “Sex”. LOL. It probably increased sales.
One of my buddies lined the wall over his lab bench with almost a dozen Playboy centerfolds. Life was simpler before HR departments.

At that time Mike Royko’s column on Farrah Fawcett noted that she was famous for her nice hair and good teeth.
And went on to say his dog also had nice hair and good teeth.
I did enjoy reading Royko.
Near the end, he was given a bum’s rush by early wokes.

Comedian/actor/writer/musician Steve Martin went on tour in 1978 in support of his 1977 “Let’s Get Small” album and the 1978 release (and SNL performance of) the single, “King Tut.” He had a joke in that routine about the Farah poster:
“Farah Fawcett is SO STUCK UP! I’ve been famous now for SIX MONTHS and she hasn’t telephoned me even once.”
“And after all the hours I spent holding up her poster (with one hand) .... “
