A Washington, D.C.-based sports radio host was fired on Saturday following comments he made about a female TV reporter who was covering the Washington Commanders.
Don Geronimo, whose real name is Michael Sorce, made the comments toward WUSA9 reporter Sharla McBride. The remarks led to the Commanders barring iHeartMedia – the parent company of WBIG Radio – from the team’s training camp facilities in Ashburn, Virginia, on Friday.
"Hey look, Barbie's here. Hi, Barbie girl," Geronimo shouted toward McBride while on air on Thursday. "I'm guessing she's a cheerleader."
Geronimo was with co-host Crash Young when the remarks were made. Later in the broadcast, Geronimo saw McBride again and mentioned that she was the woman Young had thought was "tight."
"Yah. I screamed tight when she was.…" Young said before being cut off.
Geronimo added that he thought she was a "cheerleader."

Hubba
Rush called them sports babes.
Ahh as always it’s the details. Problem is it’s the Washington area, and she’s the reporter for the Commanders. Who are under new ownership in part because Snyder created such a toxic culture filled with harassment. And this station is part if iHeart who have a deal with the Commanders. And there you go. Here’s the money quote:
According to WUSA9, new team owner Josh Harris and team president Jason Wright were extremely upset over the ordeal.
“We have worked hard to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected in our workplace, and we took swift action when we learned that an employee of our partner iHeart made sexually disparaging remarks to and about a member of the media while she was broadcasting live from training camp yesterday,” a team spokesperson told the station on Saturday.
Having just gotten Snyder out the Commanders can’t give even the slightest image of tolerating anything. Remember the Snyder regime was so toxic it wound up spawning a congressional investigation. Nobody that’s at all associated with the team will be able to say anything even slightly sexual about anybody else for at least a year. There’s an image that needs a lot of cleaning.
Dumb thing for him to say; why disparage her on her looks? Also, the only person who needs to concern themselves with how tight she might be is her husband. A cheap shot from a lowbrow person.
The worst are right here in Detroit and are still on the air. Drew and Mike. Them bastards about 15 20 years ago said... “The Davidians were a bunch of Wackos the Deserved to be exterminated!” I turned them off and never once listened to them again and barely tuned in WRIF after that!!
Spit...
I remember 100.3 when I lived in the area. That station played the same songs over and over. Drove me nuts
For kind of a Trump remark, in his earlier days, no less.
I used to listen to him in the 80’s on WLS in Chicago. Liked him back then.
SO happy Geronimo is gone. What an asshole. Finally gave up on him altogether (even though he’s on the area’s classic rock station) when he went on a rant against Paul Stanley from KISS. Stanley had said let’s not give sex-change surgeries to kids just because they like to dress in ways to provoke their parents. Geronimo actually said, “if anyone ought to understand transgender kids, it’s Paul Stanley.” Uh, if anyone oughtta understand dressing to provoke parents, it’s Paul Stanley. Pretty sure he’s not trans.
Them feets on that Barbie look like ridge runners...
The Barbie doll had teenie tiny feets
Would that be a microboat?
Hello Barbie let’s go party!!!
I thought Barbie would be considered a compliment, meaning attractive shapely woman.
It’s not like he said, “Jane you ignorant slut!!!”
The most not guiltiest
Why can’t people just stfu? You know it’s polarizing. You know you are always under a microscope in public. Be professionals.
“The position of the mike is very clever.”
If she pushed it in it would probably stay there.
I mean you use it when you use it, and condemn someone when you don't want to use it. Seems a little one sided.
Is that all? I still remember what Dick Biondi said on air that got him fired from WLS back around 1965!
He later appeared as a TV newsman for a northern California station, a long way from Chicago.
