Retired Navy Cmdr. David Fravor was commander of an F/A-18F Super Hornet squadron aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz on Nov. 14, 2004, when he piloted one of two Super Hornets that came across a Tic Tac-shaped aircraft. At the time, the Nimitz was about 100 miles southwest of San Diego.
The crew of the two Super Hornets was told that unidentified objects had been observed for over two weeks, during which they had rapidly descended from 80,000 feet to 20,000 feet, loitered for several hours, and then returned to extremely high altitudes, Fravor told a House Oversight subcommittee on Wednesday.
“For those who don’t realize, above 80,000 feet is space,” Fravor said during Wednesday’s hearing on “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,” or UAP, a recently coined term for unidentified objects in the air and underwater.
The Super Hornets’ pilots and weapon systems officers all saw a Tic Tac object moving abruptly above the ocean without any visible wings or propulsion system, Fravor said. As his plane got closer to the object, it quickly accelerated and disappeared. An air controller quickly told Fravor that the object had been detected 60 miles away less than a minute after the Super Hornets had lost contact with it.

Assuming the Tic Tac was a physical object and not some sort of projection, no human pilot could survive the G-forces caused by how quickly it moved and maneuvered, retired Lt. Cmdr. Alex Dietrich, who piloted the other Super Hornet involved in the incident, told Task & Purpose on Thursday.
With the known technology that the United States and its adversaries possess, an aircraft can either be as fast as a jet or as maneuverable as a helicopter – Dietrich said after the hearing.
“You can’t go supersonic and turn on a dime,” said Dietrich, who currently teaches engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. “The flight control surfaces, the propulsion required, they’re incompatible in our current configurations, in our current technology, with the fuel we have, with the materials that we have. And so, what we saw that day was something that was hovering like a helicopter and then intravenously accelerating, turning on a dime, not requiring the full turning radius that we require in our strike fighters or advanced jets. That’s why it was so confusing to us in the moment and seemed to defy what we know and expect to be laws of physics and limitations of capabilities.”

My point exactly. Nobody was able to confirm it was the same object. Just that the object that was lost to the hornet went blank and it, or another one, showed up miles away. So, why couldn’t it be two separate objects one being seen, going off the radar, and another getting pinged miles away if they came out of stealth?
The Russians have had technology to not only scramble radio and radar from back in my Alaska days, mid 80’s, they also had the ability to mess with the eagles when they approached the Tupolev Tu-95s Bear bombers. I talked to a couple of the F15C pilots from the CAC at Galena and they told me as they approached the Russian aircraft, the eagle inertial guidance system that fed the aircraft would malfunction just enough to make it difficult to fly the eagles on computer and they had to go manual. When they got far enough away, the aircraft would get back on track. No one talked about that, but it happened on a number of occasions.

I just put 2 and 2 together. Do you remember all of those times the Pentagon couldn’t account for billions of dollars? I wonder if this is where that money is going.
Google is your friend.
Look it up for yourself
Prove anything on the Internet is true, same as this issue. I know the claims, never seen proof.
Yeah, yeah I know. Not enough coffee yet.
“ I’m gonna have to see it up close and personal to believe it.”
It seems many professional people with nothing to gain, have seen things that are not explainable
Its in their blood.

Precisely. In General Relativity the force of inertia that operates in opposition to acceleration or deceleration is the combined gravity of the rest of the universe acting at each point. Shielding gravity from a particular direction would enable very rapid changes in velocity vector in the opposite direction without inducing the inertial forces that would crush metal, much less any living being. In fact, no other power source would be required as the "Drive" power comes from the pull of gravity in the non-shielded direction with little or no resistance.
The line of least resistance in "Free fall" is called the geodesic in spacetime. By changing the shape of the geodesic locally one creates the so-called "Wrinkle in Time" or "Tunnel in the Sky" of Heinlein. My tensor analysis is a little rusty, so I can't show how this can possibly result in faster than light travel, but my gut tells me it's related. After all, warping gravity locally entails a very large mass being close enough, in some sense, even though it is not that way (i.e., "Close") in our frame of reference.
Last point: Some theorists on the Internet suggest that the warping of the geodesic entails moving orthogonally to every direction in space, i.e., moving along the time axis of the 4D spacetime continuum...resulting in some apparently superluminal velocities.
To your point… didn’t someone just testify last week that funds literally are “misappropriated “ to go elsewhere that can’t be tracked?
That made me wonder also.
Perhaps the pilot said simultaneously and the author, editor, or the AI they used to proof the article just messed up.
Unexplainable doesn’t necessarily Equate to little green men.
It interesting to me that these UFO threads AND the Lazamataz threads have gotten more Freeper responses than all the Ukraine-Russia threads. Maybe we need a laugh.... Or twelve.
Like everything else president taterhead is involved in, the Ukraine stuff just makes my blood pressure go up so I tend to avoid reading about it.
As a kid I was fascinated by the ufo phenomenon and read everything I could get my hands on about the subject.......then I grew up. 😏
Our beloved Ray Bradbury once commented that we are surrounded by aliens with which we simply cannot communicate. Flora and fauna aplenty, full of life and vitality and not really giving "important" us a second thought.
And that when we tell our science fictions stories to ourselves, we are actually telling us our own stories. THEY (we) are superior, THEY (we) can be dangerous enemies willing to conquer and kill, and alternatively THEY (we) are come to better the world. THEY (we). I often thank him and his peers for such perspectives.
Best wishes.
Your friendly "little green man" WT.
PS I have hidden my UFO, so it is assured the government will NEVER find it. Yes, I am that smart. Or not.
See? :)
“Or... Just let them believe what they like as long as it doesn’t squash the beliefs of others. Why is it they absolutely have to impose their own on others? Each to their own...”
We’re dealing with narcissists. Once that’s understood, their ego-centric behavior makes sense.
Liberals never get past the ‘ANGER’ stage.
They enjoy it too much..............
