Retired Navy pilot says unidentified aircraft ‘far superior’ to anything US could develop in next decade
Task & Purpose ^ | JEFF SCHOGOL

Retired Navy Cmdr. David Fravor was commander of an F/A-18F Super Hornet squadron aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz on Nov. 14, 2004, when he piloted one of two Super Hornets that came across a Tic Tac-shaped aircraft. At the time, the Nimitz was about 100 miles southwest of San Diego.

The crew of the two Super Hornets was told that unidentified objects had been observed for over two weeks, during which they had rapidly descended from 80,000 feet to 20,000 feet, loitered for several hours, and then returned to extremely high altitudes, Fravor told a House Oversight subcommittee on Wednesday.

“For those who don’t realize, above 80,000 feet is space,” Fravor said during Wednesday’s hearing on “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,” or UAP, a recently coined term for unidentified objects in the air and underwater.

The Super Hornets’ pilots and weapon systems officers all saw a Tic Tac object moving abruptly above the ocean without any visible wings or propulsion system, Fravor said. As his plane got closer to the object, it quickly accelerated and disappeared. An air controller quickly told Fravor that the object had been detected 60 miles away less than a minute after the Super Hornets had lost contact with it.

[...]

Assuming the Tic Tac was a physical object and not some sort of projection, no human pilot could survive the G-forces caused by how quickly it moved and maneuvered, retired Lt. Cmdr. Alex Dietrich, who piloted the other Super Hornet involved in the incident, told Task & Purpose on Thursday.

With the known technology that the United States and its adversaries possess, an aircraft can either be as fast as a jet or as maneuverable as a helicopter – Dietrich said after the hearing.

“You can’t go supersonic and turn on a dime,” said Dietrich, who currently teaches engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. “The flight control surfaces, the propulsion required, they’re incompatible in our current configurations, in our current technology, with the fuel we have, with the materials that we have. And so, what we saw that day was something that was hovering like a helicopter and then intravenously accelerating, turning on a dime, not requiring the full turning radius that we require in our strike fighters or advanced jets. That’s why it was so confusing to us in the moment and seemed to defy what we know and expect to be laws of physics and limitations of capabilities.”

“I think we’re going to need a “One World Government” to protect us from these terrible creatures who want to dissect and have sex with us.. (sniff)”

Why yes. And we’re also going to need a digital chip implanted in every human so we can tell the difference between us and “them”.

We probably shouldn’t assume anything here but it was mentioned that it was seen tracked on radar. I don’t know exactly what is required for an object to show up on radar.

In the 1800’s they did not yet understand the laws of physics that govern powered flight.

At this time we merely do not understand they physics of however UFOs fly. It is the same issue, just underdeveloped knowledge on our part. It surely isn't non-existance on theirs.

Wow, you really are emotional about this.

I don't think so. I think he is trying to stress that assuming we now know everything there is to know about physics is arrogance. Assuming UFOs don't exist because we can't explain them, even when people are seeing them all over the world, is Ostrich Science. Time would be better spent trying to figure out where ours gaps in understanding this happen to be.

“the observation”

Lol.

We are talking about millions of observations.

Here are some other books well worth your time—they might open a crack in your closed mind:

This is just the first volume. Rosales details the “impossible” in volumes taking us up to the modern era.

The covid hysteria showed that people are far more impressionable than anyone ever thought ...

Is "modern" America great or what?!

Our unbelievably gullible society has "evolved" from nut jobs walking around wearing sandwich boards announcing "The world is coming to an end" and Yokel Joneses calling in to radio shows with tales of flying saucers and little green men with death rayguns invading their backwoods hovels, to "climate experts" and "military whistleblowers" promoting the same hysterias through podcasts and televised congressional hearings.

It seems to me there will always be people who desperately need excitement to temporarily ease the boredom in their lives. I truly find all this quite entertaining and am pleased that, because it is happening all day long, I don't have to stay up late to visit "fantasyland" on George Noory's radio show.

I don’t think he understands it probably was man made in America by Raytheon, Northrop or Lockheed. 🙄

True. But, many have not been resolved. There are those observations that will not be resolved until the observed objects are shown to the public. There are, after all, witnesses who claim they have seen hardware.

Joe really wants to get Hunter off the front page.

You did nail it with that. This alien story seems too timely. See also Jack Smith v Trump.

“All great scientific thinkers had exactly the opposite view—they believed science laid a foundation for future discovery.”

And in that, they were “open-minded”... unlike the so-called settled science pontificators of today. Instead of the “sky’s the limit” mentality, it was “the stars are the limit”. In the past, it was all about discovery vs. control.... until the leftists figured out another way to rule over us.

The scientific method is pretty straight forward. You don’t need a book to understand it. Show me the theory and the observations to prove that theory, then your credible. Like I stated, things like conservation of energy, conservation of mass, conservation of momentum, these are proven laws and any decent engineer is wise to keep these in mind when building ‘stuff’. That way we don’t have bridges collapsing or ships that can’t float. God created this universe with this set of rules. We should learn those.

It’s not just the ‘great minds’. Would you have the technology to create the object even if you could figure it out? Could Paul Revere in his silver smithing shop replicate titanium components from a modern military aircraft. What about the plastic pieces? Plastic was unknown at the time and there would have been no way to produce it, or the components made from it. I image there were great minds in the past who conceived of much of what we have to do in some form or another. But moving from concept to reality can be a challenge.

As a Star Trek fan, I watched some of the out of this world technology they showed in the 60’s actually come, in some similar form or another, to fruition in my lifetime.

I think you just destroyed your own argument. Yeah, people didn’t understand the laws of physics concerning flight. And would have argued, and I’m sure did, that it was impossible based on their knowledge of the laws of physics. But the Wright Brothers and others figured those laws out. And in less than 50 years we went from first manned flight to supersonic. Two decades later the American flag was placed on the surface of the moon. Now people live in space. Until Einstein, people grappled with the laws governing time, space and gravity, today some of those ‘Laws’ are being challenged. True science never stops looking for answers. Real scientist never say well we know all there is to know. Sorry can’t agree with your premise.

The Chinese have a cultural concept called ‘shen’ in which things are what they are because that’s what they have to be. So a rock must be a rock, a boat must be a boat, and etc.

This concept has long prevented them from modeling new ideas or modeling at all. Which makes it difficult to innovate because how can you imagine something new if it violates the rules of shen? You can’t.

Thus they did not invent UFO technology. But you can bet your bippy they want to steal it!
