Oh no, you do not understand the powerful explanatory insights offered by the theory of “structural racism.” Black people shooting other black people is all due to “structural racism” in the form of racist white people avoiding the risk of getting shot by black people.

I see many factors at play.
One is letting history repeat itself and slavery/ discrimination reappear. Some in the culture see passivity, acceptance of reality as acceptance of slavery. In reality none of us is 100% free...we all are obligated (or feel we are obligated.
A much bigger factor is lack of a good male role model. When many responsible males are lacking from a child’s experience the child often ages without growing up.
I was expousing libertarian rhetoric to a mixed crowd of community activists....all fighting against urban renewal.
A couple middle aged, employed Black men asked in unison:
“But who will take care of us?”
There are other factors. It is complex. Not all have the same experience or culture or path of decision making.
