To an extent that's true....however, I would add that certain cultures do push some "values" that others don't. We see a lot of anger and revenge in black culture. I often hear of fights starting because someone "disrespected" me in black culture.

I see many factors at play.
One is letting history repeat itself and slavery/ discrimination reappear. Some in the culture see passivity, acceptance of reality as acceptance of slavery. In reality none of us is 100% free...we all are obligated (or feel we are obligated.

A much bigger factor is lack of a good male role model. When many responsible males are lacking from a child’s experience the child often ages without growing up.

I was expousing libertarian rhetoric to a mixed crowd of community activists....all fighting against urban renewal.
A couple middle aged, employed Black men asked in unison:
“But who will take care of us?”

There are other factors. It is complex. Not all have the same experience or culture or path of decision making.
