John MacArthur vs The Government

hen California Governor Gavin Newsom locked down the state of California during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was one church that stood up against the governmental overreach and opened its doors to the body of believers: John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church. Pastor MacArthur joins “Fearless” to discuss the upcoming documentary “The Essential Church,” which documents the history of governmental interference with the Christian church. “We live godly, quiet, peaceable, submissive lives to the government. But when the government oversteps its bounds, we have to hold the line. Christ is the head of the church — not Gavin Newsom.” Jason and Pastor MacArthur dive into the role of, and lack of, true masculine leadership in the American church and American society. And in Tennessee Harmony, Anthony Walker and Virgil Walker join the show to review Pastor MacArthur’s interview and share their thoughts on his impact and legacy.

The beauty of the Constitution is that it limits the reach of government (to the chagrin of B.O.Bama). In that sense, I believe America and its writ-in-blood liberties are a lifeboat sent from God. If we fail to get into the lifeboat, it’s on us.

Now, each individual Christian, each congregation, must hear from God on how to respond to gov’t overreach. Macarthur is to be commended, as is that Polish priest up in Alberta, for sticking their necks out in a phase of our respective histories where the bureaucrats are executing executive orders that are out of bounds.

I think if we follow the Lord, and the Constitution, very closely, He will give us guidance to do the right thing when the time comes for each of us.

I’m a man; but I’m not on board with the call for a “more Masculine Christianity”. I’m happy with just a more “biblical” more “Godly” Christianity.

I’ve always enjoyed contemplating Oklahoma’s state motto: “Manly Deeds, Womanly Words” (please disregard the latter half when thinking of “The View”; those harpies coulnd’t have survived in the Oklahoma of 1910.

As I’ve said multiple times, COVID-19(84) was an excellent dry run for the Mark of the Antichrist Beast and the False Prophet of Revelation chapter 13.
