Sorry to hear of your problem. I just returned two blouses and they credited my account quickly. I returned my bag with the blouses to the Kohl’s Amazon return. The girl peeked inside to make sure two were inside..and zipped the bag closed and thanked me. My account was credited within a couple hours by email.

This. I’ve always had the UPS clerk verify the return.
I doubt the OP had the UPS clerk steal one of the shorts, but I would take my receipt back to the location and see what they say.
It could very well be a UPS employee somewhere is wearing a nice pair of Levi Denim Bermuda Shorts.
