What a train-wreck this country has become.
In 1982, Robert Heinlein wrote a novel, “Friday”, about a ‘Post USA’ Earth.

In it, he envisioned the former USA as a broken-up set of ostensively ‘independent’ sections, states, nations and kingdoms. Each with it own sets of laws and customs, and continually at war with their neighbors.
California was a nation unto itself, and crazier than a June Bug in a chicken coop.
When I read it I thought these things would never happen and Heinlein was really writing a satire.
It wasn’t.
It was prophetic..................
