Interesting. My last name descends from a Huguenot settler in New Netherlands in 1645. He eventually became a Dutch Reform pastor in Staten Island. My father was born in Mount Vernon, New York, and apparently my last name had a certain cachet in that town a hundred years ago.

I’m sorry your opinion of cops is such that you think they can only shoot suspects. I do understand standards have fallen from those of my youth but cops used to be able to physically restrain suspects without a lot of hardware.
