An ex-Department of Defense (DoD) official made some out-of-this-world claims about UFOs on Monday.
Christopher Mellon, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence and Senate staffer, told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo that a congressional hearing scheduled for Wednesday provides an “opportunity” to better understand the issue from credible sources.

Planned by a House Oversight subcommittee, the hearing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) is set to feature testimony from two former Navy pilots who claim to have witnessed mysterious flying objects that appear to defy the laws of physics while participating in training exercises.
Also announced as a witness was David Grusch, a U.S. military and intelligence veteran who has gone public with allegations about crafts of non-human origin being retrieved and kept from Congress.
Lending some credence to Grusch’s assertions about a cover-up, Mellon said he has been told that “we have recovered technology that did not originate on this earth by officials in the Department of Defense and by former intelligence officials,” some of whom he has referred “to the office that is undertaking this investigation.”
Mellon also said he expects Grusch “will provide some new information that we have not heard before” at the hearing, but he stressed that Grusch is limited by law in what he can reveal, including identifying intelligence personnel who may be involved in the matter.

I used to send letters and email to representatives regarding key issues; however, the best you will get in return is a form letter
And you still voted for the person that sent you a form letter.
On Sept. 21, 1987, then-U.S. President Ronald Reagan gave an address to the United Nations General Assembly. In an often-quoted section of his speech, Reagan asked rhetorical questions and commented about the nations and cultures of the world uniting in common efforts to live in peace and avoid wars and bloodshed.
“Cannot swords be turned to plowshares? Can we and all nations not live in peace? In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity,” Reagan said.
“Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond,” Reagan proposed.
“I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.
——————————————————————
Unbeknownst to Reagan, he was describing the perfect storm - for a potential event that would force all nations of the world to unite with a “common bond” - and, just by coincidence - surrender whatever is left of their individual sovereignty. The one thing that would hand over to the globalist empire - finally - the keys to the kingdom. Unrestrained power and control over every human on earth.
A coincidence, no doubt.
Hopefully the aliens have invented a tv and device remote that actually works...

I thought I was talking about this. I voiced skepticism. Is that not allowed? Must every post be one of complete agreement?
But I do see your point, GingisK. So here’s a suggestion (seriously). Free Republic allows for specialized forums where no fundamental disagreements are allowed. For example, you can discuss Catholic issues on the Catholic Forum. But you can’t bash the Catholic faith.
Perhaps you should consider a specialized forum for this issue.
Just a thought.
There a definitely instances where technolog breakthroughs in the private sector have been removed from the marketplace and shelved by much larger companies.
If you don't think the government hasn't done that as well, you are kidding yourself. Except the government has the ability and authority to control it under the umbrella of "National Security".
Also, each time he tells his story it is unchanged but not robotic or verbatim. Very good indicators of honesty.
A post was put up on a public forum.
Therefore, anyone can comment on that post, in any way they want as long as it doesn’t violate the rules of the site.
So, if someone wants to talk talk about martians and aliens from outer space, fine. If someone wants to comment about the millions of illegal aliens coming over the southern border, that is also fine.
If you were an alien, would you come forward. Hell, most of the people wouldn't care about what you had to say, only what gender you were.
BTW, I only think it was the Saturday game. I recently subscribed to Sling and I can't tell when a game is live or replay. It was played in Fenway.

I agree. There are three main players in the research game: the government, private companies, and universities. The government is corrupt. Private companies can be bought out, as you noted.
If there are to be any fundamental breakthroughs, they will probably come from universities. Tenured science professors have a freedom that’s very rare elsewhere. That was my point.
Not true. Jim recently made a comment on posting behavior in which, among other things, he spoke about spamming threads with unrelated posts and comments that were harassing, trolling etc. instead of being on-topic discussions.
“They do not let morons fly multi million dollar US Naval jets off of aircraft carriers.”
Yes, they do. Women diversity hire pilots. ‘nuff said.
“ Earth has been transmitting radio waves for over 120 years revealing much about ourselves and this planet.”
Klaatu Barada Nikto.
Nuff said.
The recent SpaceX/Starlink satellite launches - 22 just the other day and 15 last week, added to the thousands already there - are part and parcel of what will be the global surveillance umbrella. (It's internet...LOL!!)
All-in for the Great Reset.
“There were no diversity-hired women pilots in those days”
When do you think women first flew in the Navy?
“I’m not sure what to make of Greer lately. He’s all alone in his theories and is angry as hell at the rest of the UFO “community.”
He has become something of an enigma. Some people are loyalty to him and others call him a charleton and narcissist.”
In my observations there are a few things he is trying to achieve.
First and foremost expose the technology and make it open source. The technology private corporations have stashed away will eliminate our huge energy problem, advance medical capabilities 1,000 fold, and advance atomic/molecular level mechanical and biological construction.
And he has a vendetta... He has had friends killed by both congress and the MIC corporations over this information. Both the DOD and the MIC Corporations are hiding technology that could help man greatly. The government claims secrecy for “National Security”. The Corporations claim “Proprietary” reasons.
And Greer claims that both have eyewitnesses, whistle blowers, and “Experts” who are trying to control the narrative and derail around the “full truth”. So he has problems with the “experts” who are actually operatives trying to debunk his claims...
But no one else has the combined experience and privileged knowledge Greer has about this concept . Over the years he has briefed Congress, CIA directors, and top military on the topic. He actually does have the right to arrogantly claim to be the most “read in” and up to speed on the topic.
But keep in mind that, in this case, the government is NOT making any claims.
The claims are coming from individual whistleblowers who once worked for the government.
The government is fighting any disclosure or release of information on this subject tooth and nail. In fact, the military has destroyed or threatened to destroy the careers of anyone in the military who has tried to tell their stories.
