An ex-Department of Defense (DoD) official made some out-of-this-world claims about UFOs on Monday.
Christopher Mellon, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence and Senate staffer, told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo that a congressional hearing scheduled for Wednesday provides an “opportunity” to better understand the issue from credible sources.

Planned by a House Oversight subcommittee, the hearing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) is set to feature testimony from two former Navy pilots who claim to have witnessed mysterious flying objects that appear to defy the laws of physics while participating in training exercises.
Also announced as a witness was David Grusch, a U.S. military and intelligence veteran who has gone public with allegations about crafts of non-human origin being retrieved and kept from Congress.
Lending some credence to Grusch’s assertions about a cover-up, Mellon said he has been told that “we have recovered technology that did not originate on this earth by officials in the Department of Defense and by former intelligence officials,” some of whom he has referred “to the office that is undertaking this investigation.”
Mellon also said he expects Grusch “will provide some new information that we have not heard before” at the hearing, but he stressed that Grusch is limited by law in what he can reveal, including identifying intelligence personnel who may be involved in the matter.

Consider this: Most of us can do a news sweep through all of the media and read all of those articles in less than an hour. We aren't going to gain any leverage over the problems by reading slowly or repeatedly. Also, what is discussing those issues going to physically accomplish? Nothing, same as discussing these issues. At least with these issues we are actually learning something or slaking our interests. If you have some great idea how we are supposed to turn the course of the mighty river by discussing what you want to discuss, please enlighten us.
All we have to influence matters is the vote. Notice how that turns out. I used to send letters and email to representatives regarding key issues; however, the best you will get in return is a form letter about another but trivial issue and a donation form. So much for action. Short of a shooting Civil War, nothing is going to change. We know with absolute certainty that will not happen.
So please, quite dictating what we are supposed to talk about.
Go play in your own thread. We desire to talk about this, and are smart enough to know it might be more important than you interests.
When Ryan also interviewed a former marine recently named Herrera who was in rural Philippines with his 6 man unit providing security for an aid drop after an earthquake in 2009.
They walked to the top of a nearby hill to set up for over watch and saw a huge black 300ft wide UGO hovering 20 ft above ground and it was being loaded with metal container boxes via a ramp that trucks could drive up and down.
When the marines started walking down the hill toward it they were cut off by about 15 heavily armed people wearing all black uniforms with no identifiers and they spoke with American accents. Herrera said they seemed like former military. His unit was surrounded, disarmed and detained while being threatened with desth. After awhile they were given back empty weapons and told to leave. About that time the craft began to slowly rise to just above tree top level and took off at a speed that made it look !one a blur. It made no sound and the tree branches didn’t even move.
Christopher Mellon spent nearly 20 years in the U.S. Intelligence Community, including serving as the Minority Staff Director of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. In the Senate, he conceived and drafted the legislation establishing the US Special Operations Command in 1986 while working as an aide for U.S. Senator William S. Cohen (R-ME).
He has taught at Georgetown University, authored a number of articles on public policy issues, and received numerous awards including the National Reconnaissance Office Gold Medal, the DIA Director’s Medal, and the Secretary of Defense Public Service Award. Mr. Mellon has also served as the Chairman of the Science Committee at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
He earned his B.A. from Colby College and his M.A. from Yale University. Since retiring from federal service Mr. Mellon has been working as a private equity investor engaged in biotech and information technology start-ups. He also appears in the History Channel TV series UNIDENTIFIED, and plays a prominent role in the movie “The Phenomenon."
So he is an actor that used to be "somebody", and has those Yale connections that we all love to trust.
I suspect that this is just another role for him ...

No doubt. Let’s hear what this man has to say. However until he or someone else shows actual alien metal or biological tissue, then this whole UFO narrative remains in my mind just another mythical “lost gold mine” story that tintinaites people but is never actually found or proven to exist.

Here is a perspective... Look at it this way. If anything the “fiscal responsibility” to debunk it is the job of congress. If the American people are paying out billions a year to the MIC in bogus black budgets towards “fake UAPs” we need to know. Even if it is just to stop up the hidden leak in the money bucket.
So this is not a waste of time, we need to find out more than any other reason if the government is sliding under the table hidden money to the MIC without any justification to do so.
I suppose it never occurred to you guys that the UFO thing might actually be very important, yet withheld from the public. All 435 people in the House and 100 in the Senate can't all work on the same issues. They divide the issues into problem domains and then work in small, manageable groups.

Another interesting tidbit from Scott Greer during the Shawn Ryan interview was his story about Bill Clinton who apparently tried to look into the UFO stuff while he was president.
Greer says a Hollywood actor friend of his was sitting in a !imo in LA one night with Bill Clinton and the subject of UFO’s came up. Clinton said that he had tried to investigate the stories about recovered craft etc but got a visit from George HW Bush who told him to back off and forget about it because it was none of his business. Bush actually said to Clinton “ you’re just the President “.
The ONLY thing that will come out of Tomorrow’s meeting is that we will find out that the Universe uses Earth as it’s Criminal Insane Asylum.
