WTF? Heat waves have been common throughout history. The 1930s in US were worse than any since.

From a Geologic point of view, we are just now coming out of a mini ice age (thank God), so the numbers are skewed towards a warming period. The world temperature has been much hotter at times, long before man ever walked on the earth. That is indisputable. So, the author is correct from a certain point of view - Heat waves ARE virtually impossible without Climate Change. This year and every year. And the sky is blue (at times), grass is green (at times), the lakes, rivers, and oceans are full (at times), etc. Reporters, however, are stupid almost all of the time. That is a fact.

Climate change is happening, the idea that it will be the death of us is nonsense.
For instance... Temperatures in Hawaii over the next week will be: Tues thru Monday... High 78.8, Low 71.6. Om Tuesday next week it goes to a High 77, low 71.6.
When Hawaii starts having really high temps and really low temps then you may give credence to global warming... But Hawaii’s temperatures haven’t varied very much since recorded time. They are essentially the same all the time... And yes... Even in Hawaii there is snow on mountain tops... Because after you get to a certain level above the sea, snow will appear on mountain tops... Just like it still appears on Mount Kilimanjaro which is only 205 miles south of the equator, and it will continue to appear there.
After you get to 8,000 feet above sea level the temperature is freezing. When that temperature isn’t freezing... Then you can say global warming is having an effect. That hasn’t occurred and will not occur in your lifetime, or in the lifetime of many generations to come.

Hottest temperature ever recorded: 114F, Plain Dealing, northwest Louisiana, 8/10/1936.
Coldest temperature ever recorded: -16F, Minden, northwest Louisiana, 2/13/1899.
