Shocking video has emerged showing a transgender man being pummeled and body-slammed to the ground by an LA County sheriff’s deputy earlier this year after he gave the officer the middle finger.
Emmett Brock, who is transgender, said the altercation began when he drove past the deputy, who was having a heated conversation with a woman, and flipped him off, according to the LA Times.
Seconds later, Brock said, he noticed he was being followed by a sheriff’s cruiser.
Brock said he called 911, but a dispatcher allegedly said, “What is that you want us to do? If he hasn’t pulled you over, he hasn’t pulled you over.”

I’m not. If someone gives me the finger and I beat him it’s called Assault & Battery. LE has to remember that Contempt of Cop is not a crime.
That cop should be fired, and after spending some time in jail, should be finding a new career.

I’d prefer officers not act unprofessionally. However, there is this new thing where no one thinks they need to listen to police officers. That has to change.
Agreed. Cop was in the wrong when he pummeled the gaytrans. But don’t people, trans or otherwise, even consider that someone might have a breaking point leading to something like that?
The cop should be fired, booked and sentenced but at the end of the day the gaytrans guy got his ass handed to him. Like Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

It’s better not to give cops probable cause to pull you over if you’re going to flip them off. The air freshener is weak, but it is PC. Read the officer’s account of the perp trying to distance himself from his car....making a fuet, trying to bite. Compliance is thr only thing a cop cares about, if you cross a line. Could be a steroid case, could be an a** hole, could be both...so play games and take your chances, if you want.

No reason a cop can’t follow you. Maybe you flip ‘em off because you’re impaired...feeling a little too gutsy. So, they follow. Check your driving. I’ve been pulled over on flimsy PC...they can find it, if they look long enough. I always put my registration sticker on upside down. Got pulled over fot it once, because that’s all he could find. He was probably just fishing for lic/reg/ins non-compliance. His words when he told me why he pulled me over...”Your sticker is upside down. I’m not sure what I can do about that.”

Put a few of ‘em in prison for this kind of assault and battery under color of law, in general population, and this criminal behavior will end.

I grew up in rural Oklahoma and NE Montana.
It was well know, if you wanted to fight, flip a man off or call him a SOB.
Folks were more civil because there were abrupt consequences for your actions.
Supreme Court has upheld the right to give cops the middle finger. Should we be anti-1st amendment just because of who gave the finger?
