I just clicked on a Twitter based news link for a climate issue story.
Sent me straight to the X.com log in page.
That was a shock!
No trace of Twitter - completely erased!

He bought the x.com domain name in 1999 with the idea of an everything app. I think he bought twitter to see that app come to fruition. He bought a user base as much as anything.
