All over the world. Maoism for instance was the hot idea in the third world. Gone.
What you have left in the US and to a lesser degree in Europe is a very peculiar accomodation where the intelligentsia left over from previous socialist/communist movements try to justify their desire to rule on different grounds - environmentalism, lgbtxxx, antiracism, whatever. Its all about the power of the “party”, really the social caste, and no longer about the working class. The working class, in fact, has turned into the enemy.
Communism is like Cancer, best you can do it put it in remission, but it can always come back.
At 76 years old, I highly doubt the communism/fascism that has taken control here will be snuffed out in what is left of my lifetime.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred fourteenth day of the war.
Day 514: Jul 22
Today the biggest news comes from Crimea.
After a series of broad drone attacks on the peninsula, Ukrainians finally found a temporary weakness in the Russian air space. It looks like in the light of attacks on the bridges and the Black Sea Fleet, Russian forces concentrated their air defense in the northern part of Crimea to protect the bridges and in the southern part of Crimea to protect the fleet. That is why yesterday, Ukrainian drones managed to penetrate Russian air space by dozens of kilometers and reach simultaneously 3 Russian airfields in the deep rear.
Today in the morning, huge explosions happened in the Krasnohrardiysky district. Local residents reported hearing secondary detonations in the aftermath of the strike. Later it became clear that Ukrainians successfully struck multiple targets at once. The FIRST target of Ukrainian forces became one of the biggest airfields in Crimea, where Ukrainians managed to destroy a huge ammunition depot.
The SECOND target of Ukrainian forces became the oil depot in Oktyabrskoye. Continuous secondary detonations just 2.5 km from the town combined with huge fires made local authorities implement drastic measures, and it was decided to evacuate everyone in a 5 km radius. On top of that, since the settlement was located right on one of the main railways, the railroad movement was stopped.
Later, due to the heightened threat of the continuation of the strikes, Russians closed the Kerch Bridge as well, meaning that absolutely all main supply lines were out of use today. By the way, many people questioned the decision to prioritize the destruction of the road bridge in Kerch, over the railroad. However, apart from the fact that it is more fragile, in the short term, it created significant problems for the Russians in Zaporizhzhia.
Even though Putin stated that the road on the Kerch Bridge is NOT used by the military, simultaneously, the Head of the Crimean Administration urged all people not to use the Kerch Bridge so that military supplies could move without hurdles. So, by taking out the road bridge, almost all Crimean traffic necessarily headed through Zaporizhzhia, creating massive traffic jams and effectively blocking Russian supplies to the front basically the same day.
In fact, Ukrainian fighters reported that the shortages started to kick in the day before yesterday, as Russians started returning fire less frequently and less intensely. This also meant that more Russian operations and counterattacks were conducted with less or no artillery support, turning many areas of secondary value from relatively safe to very dangerous. And this is exactly when many Russian war correspondents started rapidly dying.
Today a Russian war correspondent Rostislav Zhyravlev who was reporting on how Russian drones are destroying Ukrainian artillery, got under Ukrainian artillery fire together with his team. All of them were still located somewhere on the Russian base and were preparing to get closer to the contact line. He was the only one who did not survive the strike.
YESTERDAY it was confirmed that a famous military blogger and war correspondent, “Misha na Donbase,” got under artillery fire somewhere hear Krasnohorivka and died as well. Ukrainian sources say that he died in the aftermath of a cluster shell explosion, while Russian sources say that he died in the aftermath of a successful Ukrainian counterattack.
TODAY a Russian MP Aleksandr Boroday also got under Ukrainian artillery fire during his PR visit to Bakhmut. There was graphic footage that confirmed that he was wounded but survived. Back in 2014, Boroday was one of the commanders of the DPR militia, helping Girkin to facilitate the secession of Ukraine.
By the way, yesterday Russian authorities unexpectedly showed up at Girkin’s house and arrested him. Later he was charged with extremism, which threatens imprisonment for a term of 5 to 20 years. Girkin is the founder of the Club of Angry Patriots, and he openly and consistently criticized Putin and the Russian Ministry of Defense. Girkin was especially vocal after the Wagner coup, and called for the removal of Putin and the Defense Minister for their ineptitude, and the execution of Prigozhin for making the coup.
Turns out that all the shuffle or reassigned Russian military officers have ended up being the Cadre for a newly trained 500K Corps, and the weakness or disagreement with Putin was an elaborate Deception to trick Ukraine into the meat grinder. That Ukraine doubled down on the failing offensive in the exact locations without success is proof Russia gave desperately needed false hope that has resulted in six weeks of losses.
If it doesn’t happen until September, it will all be very clear when Russia launches it Northern invasion and cluster munitions catch Ukraine unprepared, that the gravest judgment error Ukraine has made is mainstream the use of these bombs.
No way in hell the West (France,US, British Empire) can match the sheer numbers of this inhumane weapon.
“The shuffle or reassigned Russian military officers weakness or disagreement with Putin was an elaborate Deception”
Thank you. This is an interesting comment. However, I believe there are many more layers to that onion. :)
“amnesty, Denys, Mom: you lose !”
On F.R., there is no contest.
The desire is for freedom for Ukraine.
And, perhaps Russia will also achieve peace as Putin just may have destroyed the political status quo in Russia. As the angels declared, “Peace on earth to men of good will.”

Nobody can create secret armies of any size these days. Satellite recon is too good.
If there were secret Russian reserves they would show up.
Russia has already been using cluster munitions extensively. They never seem to have implemented them widely on 152mm howitzers though. So no ancient Soviet stockpiles of that stuff.

Thank you for your comment. Appreciate your insight.
Actually, the Russian citizens that wanted to join the military to invade Ukraine have already done so.
Other Russians still try to escape cross the border or if mobilized will surrender at first opportunity. The Russian population does NOT want this war with Ukraine.

Interrogation of captured occupier:
- Did you get any help here?
-Yes, I got good help. No need to come in here.
- Have you seen any Banderites (ed. Ukrainian nationalists) here?
- I haven’t
- Do you feel sorry for coming here?
- Yes, terribly sorry...
NATO still wants their nuclear war. Biden doesn’t mind helping. If it’s not hundreds of billions of US taxpayer dollars, it’s cluster bombs to provoke war further. NATO is losing so it’s now more falseflags and provocation.

I disagree with your position. I do not believe that NATO wants war nor do see such evidence that NATO is losing.

Anton Meshcheryakov is a citizen of Russia. He lived in the city of Kirov. In Russia, he was imprisoned for having marijuana. During his imprisonment, he had a child born, and the prisoner had never seen her.
The ministry of defense of Russia recruited him to the 5th motorized infantry division of the Russian army, and he was captured by the Ukrainian Defense Forces near Mariinka.
The POW shares his experiences, how Russian regular forces assign machine-gunners to shoot retreating prisoners if they flee the battlefield. He could have been killed by such ‘death squads’ so he surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine when he had the opportunity. Hear his speech on UATV.

Serhii Shahinskyi comes from the Russian-occupied Donetsk. He was mobilized more than a year ago. After several severe wounds, he got accidentally captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he got medical treatment and decided to tell his story to the world.
According to his words, Russian commanders treat mobilized as ‘disposable.’ They do not count them. The story of Serhii is about loss and injury. But now he has a chance to return to normal life as soon as the war is over, and he serves for possible crimes he had committed during the war on the Russian side.

Hryhoriev was born in Ukraine, in the Donetsk region. But when the Russian occupation came, he got mobilized to the war against Ukraine. According to his words, he escaped the front line three times but was then brought back. This time he has escaped the Russian army for sure: he surrendered to the Ukrainian defenders. In the video, Hryhoriev tells about horrible methods used in the occupation army, including death squads that stay behind the lines and kill any deserters. Lack of supplies and inhumane attitude almost made the man break mentally, and he surrendered to the Ukrainian army when possible. Hear what he intended to say in our video.
There is no coming victory for Youcrayne. Only more death and horror.
Then why ONLY “Pray for Ukraine” ? Such a hypocrite.
-AND- Freedom for Ukraine has always been available unless not doing the US deepState will;
and even after that APR22 there was a deal for peace which vampiress Nuland torpedoed, but you are too dishonest to admit it.
seems your Russia hatred takes you out of “...men of good will.”
(are you a Vindman, Nuland, defense contractor, what, ?)
I started my late night Ukraine viewing with the 9 minute link at Comment #8. This was followed by a 1 hour 10 minute presentation dated near the 1 year anniversary of Russia’s Feb. 24, 2022 invasion of Ukraine. The speaker decided to devote that long period of time to analyzing whether Putin has or will achieve his Strategic Objectives by winning this war according to Putin’s stated goals, or if even with a victory, whether in fact those goals will have been achieved. It also was exploring to what extent Ukraine might achieve or fail to achieve its stated goals of regaining the 1991 borders which over 92% of Ukrainians voted they favored at that time, including the majority of residents of the Donbas and Crimea.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94bqk8cB9iQ
A detailed history of Russia was presented to illustrate how the current Putin objectives came into existance. The writings of Alexsandr Dugin published in 1997 were mentioned as a significance influence on Putin and in Russian war colleges. Something called the Primakov Doctrine was also seen as a significant influence. The video continued to consider the many ways in which this war has influenced Russia, Ukraine, and the rest of the world, and how it has changed the views and opinions of all who have been involved in the effects of the war. Also the concerns of people who can forsee future effects on themselves.
Basically the conclusion is that Putin had already “lost” the war 6 months ago in that he had achieved very few of his objectives, and even if he retains the 4 Oblasts he targeted in his sham elections and Crimea, he still ends up with a strategic loss. Six months ago the ultimate success of Ukraine and continued support from Europe was not a certainty. But even if Putin retained his Oblasts and Crimea, it would be a hard meal to digest as partisan perils would continue to undermine his situation in the annexed lands. This is the best statement of all the basic issues and potential outcomes and results I have seen regarding this NOT WAR. Reading it will provide much useful ammunition to continue the fight for the hearts and minds we hope will support Ukraine to victory. This information might also persuade some Russia supporters (other than paid trolls) to modify their opinions
Here in your statistics lies the reason Ukraine will never willingly surrender to Putin/Russia. Many Ukranians grew up with the stories from their elderly relatives who survived the Holodomor (sp?) wherein Stalin arranged for the starvation of 3 million Ukranians. Putin’s current efforts should be good for another 70 years of anti-Russia/Putin feelings and actions on the part of Ukranians. Also given how many of the world’s people will suffer starvation now thanks to Putin’s actions regarding grain shipments, lot more of the world than just Ukraine will harbor this ill will for decades.
