Horrible article about rice in India being grown in filth and pollution. I wonder where Costco gets its basmati rice; rice is also grown away from large cities, nearer the Himalayas. I would like to find out what part of India the costco rice is from.
I learned to always wash rice 3 times before cooking, I either scrub with my hands and/or use a wire whisk vigorously. I used to be basmati rice from Lundberg growers, I order from Azure Standard (they deliver over much of the country). It’s like available in stores that sell bulk foods or natural food stores.
Yet I agonize over what I post, worry about the harm I may do, never conclude that I could not have done better, while praying for forgiveness for the mistakes I’ve already made, and those I have yet to make.
