Dmytro Kuleba, Foreign Minister of Ukraine, has called on all 123 member states of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to fulfil the requirement to arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova.
SOURCE: a statement made by Kuleba at a ministerial round table at the UN on the work of the ICC, reports European Pravda, citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
DETAILS: The head of Ukrainian diplomacy stressed that Kyiv actively cooperates with the International Criminal Court and greatly appreciates its involvement in the investigation of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed by Russians.
According to Kuleba, the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Putin and Lvova-Belova for the deportation of Ukrainian children was a turning point.
QUOTE: “We insist that all 123 member states of the International Criminal Court that have ratified the Rome Statute must strictly comply with the ICC’s request to arrest Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova.”
Kuleba called on the ICC to issue further arrest warrants for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed by Russians in Ukraine.
BACKGROUND:
- South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has publicly stated that he expects Vladimir Putin to attend the BRICS summit in August, despite the fact that South Africa would be obliged to arrest him and extradite him to the International Criminal Court.
- It has emerged that South Africa requested that the Russian delegation at the summit be headed by Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, instead of Putin, but the request was denied.

The President of Ukraine has discussed the restoration of food security and food supplies via the Black Sea with UN Secretary General António Guterres.

DETAILS: Zelenskyy noted that it is essential to preserve the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
He added that he and Guterres had agreed to work together with responsible states to restore food security and food supplies via the Black Sea.
PREVIOUSLY: Ukraine proposed to Türkiye and the UN that the grain corridor under the Black Sea Grain Initiative should continue to function without Russia, which withdrew from the agreements on Monday.
BACKGROUND
• Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian President, stated on 17 July that the Black Sea Grain Initiative had been suspended. Russia also announced the withdrawal of security guarantees for shipping under the agreement, which ceased to have effect as of Monday, 17 July.
• However, the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin actually wants the grain deal to be extended

NATO betrayed Russia long ago by making Russin grain expots impossible, this after telling Russia if they would allow Ukrainian grain exports they would allow Russian grain as well.
Then they sanctioned Russian and denied access to finances necessary for trade.
Russia had to be careful not to outright kill this deal themselves as African trade partners would be hurt.
Russia is correct when their government tells their people there are no US or EU leaders who have not comprised their own diplomacy, their own treaties violated or their Word. Merkel, Johnson, Biden/State Dept, etc. Russia has no one in the West they trust.
The US has sacrificed it’s integrity, honor, and word in the processes they created to lie to Russia.
The loss of cheap energy is destroying the EU industry and heating or fuel for their own populations.
