Per a
separate site, it’s unclear exactly how much the entire Led Zeppelin catalog is worth today, but in 2016, in a court case involving copyright infringement of "Stairway to Heaven," it was revealed that the total revenue for the catalog was $58.5 million.
FWIW, based on the video and audio of Knebworth, that was a very off night.

How many more times are you gonna ask that?

While we're on the subject - favorite Led Zepplin album?
Led Zepplin III, with Houses of the Holy a distant second.

Nobody buys CDs anymore. Can one make money owning the work of a famous group today?

Good for the musicians and/or their estates, but I’m thinking the main market for Grade A Rock and Roll is still going to be Boomers, and most of us have already bought what we want from those archives.
I know some of the younger folks also like certain performers from that era,i.e. Zepplin, Bowie and Prince, but will that be enough to justify these high dollar aggreements? Time will tell.

Although it is probably passé to say so, the 4th album is their best. It culminated their early blues- and folk-based music, and served as the basis for all their subsequent work. That being said, I love Zeppelin III and Houses of the Holy to the point that it’s hard to dispute your opinion.

Presence.
It’s Zeppelin at their peak creativity and maturity, yet before drugs fully eroded their gifts. It’s also not rife with plagiarism.
Achilles Last Stand is a masterpiece.

I’d say Presence is the one I still listen to a lot today. Probably my favorite album art too.

agree completely.

Catalog sales in the millions have gone off without a hitch. Alice In Chins cashed out for a $50MM lump sum. They’re my favorite 90s band though they didn’t sell as well as others, so there is money to be had.
It’s all about streaming today. And while Boomers et al have Zeppelin on album, tape, CD, mp3, and probably 8-track and reel-to-reel, they’re prolly listening to Whole Lotta Love (for the zillionth time) on Spotify.

Maybe an involuntary Freudian Slip on Alice getting older.

Physical Graffiti, Presence, In Through The Out Door and Coda are all great albums. Most of the catalog is quite good, hard to pick a fav.
