To: Jeff Vader

As I understand it, when he died, his estate was worth only 5 million dollars and half of that was in cash. It kind of shocked me. The way he lived financially, I would’ve thought that at the time of his death, he’d been worth around 2-3 billion.

When he was alive, his money was badly mismanaged, not well invested, his manager was ripping him off, and although only a millionaire, Elvis spent his money as if he were a multi-billionaire. He could’ve been. Should’ve been.

one of the shocking true stories from the Elvis movie is the way Parker kept elvis locked into Vegas because of Parker’s gambling addiction.

I recently saw where John Huston did some questionable things because of his gambling addiction.
