Ex-Fox News reporter Ed Henry, who was accused of raping a co-worker, has been arrested in Florida.
According to information on the police report, Henry was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Henry was the former chief White House correspondent for Fox and co-anchor of “America’s Newsroom.”
After being accused of raping ex-Fox News employee Jennifer Eckhart and sexual harassment by another employee, Cathy Areu, Henry was fired by the network.
He was arrested in West Palm Beach around 8 p.m. on June 20.
Henry was taken into custody when a sheriff’s deputy spotted his Black Cadillac Escalade cruising down the street with a flat tire and exposed metal rim grinding against the road.
He was unaware he had a flat and was shooting off sparks as he drove down the road, according to a deputy’s report.
He was arrested for DUI.
The report said: “In doing this the front driver’s side tire came off the rim and rolled into the eastbound lanes almost striking an oncoming vehicle.
“That vehicle had to apply its brakes and swerve to avoid being hit by the tire.”

The suit states that Areu was sexually harassed at Fox News, including by Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Howard Kurtz.[10] The organization Times Up said in September 2020 that it was “providing PR support” to Areu.[11] On November 15, 2021, the case was dismissed. The court provided an opportunity to file an amended suit, but Areu never did. The case was dismissed in November 2021 with prejudice.[12][13]

Areu was arrested in December 2022 and charged with kidnapping, exploitation of the elderly and scheming to defraud her elderly mother. Prosecutors in Miami-Dade County allege Areu stole at least $224,000 in the matter

Not defending him but defending his right to be considered innocent until proven guilty, and there seems to be more going on than just the accusations against him.
No matter what the circumstances, he certainly shouldn’t have risked his own life and the lives of others by drinking and driving.
