Three “fairly mummified” bodies were discovered in a remote Rocky Mountains campsite in Colorado this week — and may have been there since last year, authorities said.
One of the bodies was located by a hiker on Sunday, while two others were found by authorities on Monday, Gunnison County Sheriff Adam Murdie said.
Two of the bodies were found inside a small, zipped-up tent while the other was outside in the camp.
The bodies were found in a wooded, remote area, away from areas typically frequented by hikers.
“This is not a typical occurrence anywhere, by any means,” Murdie said.

Gunnison is brutally cold .
Ya know? I never thought of that!
Great story, well told.
The folks had a place in Gunnison we went to in summer and winter, have not been back there in 15 years, beautiful country.
Should have gone back for more!

Is it true that the last communication from them was “we have irrefutable evidence of crimes that Hillary Clinton committed “?
The SAS-SQUASH! Probably hiding up there near Say-gua-chi (Sagauache).
Not saying it was Martians.
It would be worse if they were mummified unfairly.
No vehicle sitting at the trail head for months that’s not noticed?
Yeah, that's probably a clue though, that clown from Florida murdered his girlfriend while they were camping (at least, that's what he'd told her they were doing) and buried her in a shallow grave, then left the state using their vehicle.
Coroner shares likely ‘cause-of-death’ in case of three dead Colorado campers

[snip] Gunnison County Undersheriff Josh Ashe described the campsite where the bodies were found as particularly developed, expressing his suspicion that it could have been being used for long-term off-grid living... it appears as if the three had started a stint of camping in mid-to-late July of 2022. Evidence at the site suggested that the campers had plans to live at the spot permanently, which meant staying there through harsh winter months... While the official cause-of-death hasn’t been released, the coroner suspects that the three died from malnutrition and/or exposure at some point over winter. [/snip]
