And the elderly in nursing homes or other facilities that were cruelly isolated and even relatives could not visit. People, especially frail elderly, can die from loneliness.

Yes, hateful and cruel. 😡
Many people died alone without any compassion or kindness shown to them.
They were not even "allowed" to have clergy visit, to provide some comfort, in their last hours.
And to add still more suffering- families were not able to bury their dead, or were subjected to severe, and outrageous "restrictions" of their loved ones funerals.
All of these vicious acts were done deliberately, to frighten and deceive everyone.
There have to be Nuremburg type trials.
