Why does a thread get locked?
Several reasons. Sometimes because it’s a duplicate
Usually, the mod indicates why the thread was locked. Sometimes “No thanks” for a ridiculous topic, others for violating various copyright rules.
Usually it’s because it is already posted earlier...................
Is the flowmeter jammed?
Sometimes because it’s series or you’re in the shower.
sometimes, the poster is not as good looking as the moderators would like them to be.
Thread locking occurs when you want to keep something screwed in all the way and really tight.
Because the OP misplaced the key.
Some are locked when the quality of the topic is likely to attract responses that will be Crude, Rude, Lewd or all the above. Like attracts like.
