In 1985, Leo Alexander, one of the most important psychiatrists to grace America, died at age 79 of cancer. He was author of the Nuremberg Code and trial aide and medical consultant to the Nuremberg Tribunal that tried 23 Nazi physicians for war crimes including inhumane experiments and murders of prisoners and concentration camp detainees. His New York Times obituary elaborates:
A medical investigator for Secretary of War Robert P. Patterson and an aide to the chief counsel at the Nuremberg war crimes trials, Dr. Alexander wrote the (Nuremberg) code after studying the actions of German SS troops and concentration camp guards.
He said they were ''on the whole meek and overpolite fellows who committed inhuman crimes because they found themselves suspect by their superiors.''

Rasher also ran tests on potential blood coagulators, and whenever he needed a fresh vial, he’d simply shoot someone in the abdomen. Other doctors forced Dachau prisoners to chug salt water for days, or exposed them to nerve gas, or gashed their legs open and ground wood fragments and glass and bacteria into the wounds to simulate battlefield injuries. Still other doctors managed widespread sterilization programs to prevent the “unfit” from breeding. Far from acting alone, Alexander found, Rascher was immersed in a web of vile medical research.
Eventually Alexander wrote a 1500-page report for the trials in 1946 and 47. By the time the trials were done, some of the accused had been acquitted. One of the reasons was that no international laws or codes of conduct had been violated; for example Jews and other prisoners under the Third Reich enjoyed no legal rights or protection. Prisoners scheduled for death had no rights. Worse still, some Nazi doctors who supervised experiments on inmates were invited to the United States and handed plum research contracts...

I wonder how Fauci would fare in a tribunal.
I could have developed a “Covid vaccine” from ingredients in my kitchen and bathroom as long as I could re-define what a vaccine is and does.
Just take a look at American citizens who have been indoctrinated into Leftist ideology. They are most certainly willing to inflict cruel punishment on other Americans that they deem "useless eaters."
And look at the physicians that perform abortions and/or gender reassignment surgery on children.
As Peterson says, the capacity for insane cruelty is the rule for humans, not the exception.
This is the evil that explains the Fall of Man.
But the Third Reich had a well known history of disappearing and killing people who even talked about disobedience.
So people are being obtuse when they claim surprise at how 'normal' people did atrocities in Nazi Germany. Everyone was under pain of death for disobedience. Everyone was spying on everyone else.
Mr. Niteowl77’s Rule of the Thirds: One third of the population will do the right thing; one third of the population will do the wrong thing; the remaining third will do whatever the more convincing (or coercing) of the two other thirds tells them to do.
The larger the bureaucracy, the less thought it gives to destroying your life or your family.
See - Tower of Babel.
C’mon man, it’s not like they were cutting the genitals off of children or coercing millions into taking experimental drugs. Give the poor Nazis a break. They were just following orders. It says so.
All that is required is for people who commit those inhuman crimes is the knowledge that they will probably not be held accountable.
I think there are many influences on people that may cause them to deviate from rational thinking. Things like threats, pressure from authority figures, stress in general, fear (immediate and distant), indoctrination/brainwashing/gaslighting, etc.
The Hubris of Bending Modernity to Fauci’s Will, JUSTIN HART JULY 5, 2023:

In the aftermath of the pandemic, the quest for transparency and accountability in public health policy-making has become paramount. A troubling incident recently come to light involving David Morens, a senior scientific advisor at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a long-time associate of Dr. Anthony Fauci. It was uncovered that Morens had been using a personal email account to circumvent the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and avoid media scrutiny. This revelation, coupled with the widely reported censorship of those who challenged the accepted narrative, raises concerns about the impartiality and transparency of our public health leaders.
In the email in question, discussing the panic around the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Morens brazenly replies to the “who’s who” of early Covid pandemic advisors, including Dr. Fauci: “Don’t worry, just send to any of my addresses, and I will delete anything I don’t want to see in the New York Times.” That is very egregious by any standard. What are they trying to hide? What is the role and agenda of Morens in all of this?
This conduct becomes even more concerning when we revisit a September 2020 article authored by Fauci and Morens in Cell Magazine. (Morens has co-authored numerous articles and papers with Dr. Fauci for nearly two decades). The current article in question paints a grand narrative about the history of infectious diseases and finishes with a utopian longing for a time when humanity lived “in harmony with nature.”
In truth, the conclusion is thinly veiled arrogance as Fauci and Morens call to “reshape” our world. They wonder aloud about our history fighting viruses: “…can we at least use lessons from those times to bend modernity in a safer direction?”
They go on to argue that the acceleration of disease emergences may be an “inevitability” due to “human behaviors that perturb the human-microbial status quo.” They suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic is a result of our “increasing inability to live in harmony with nature.” Most citizens would probably attest that the lockdowns pushed by Dr. Fauci were perturbing in their own way. It certainly was NOT the status quo.
The pair advocate for changes in behaviors and a “reconstruction [of] the infrastructures of human existence.” They posit that our “living improvements achieved over recent centuries come at a high cost that we pay in deadly disease emergences.”
This is pure scope creep – even for America’s highest paid federal employee – but Dr. Fauci was given carte blanche to lay out the framework for this “reconstruction” with his recommendations heading up the White House COVID-19 Task Force.
One might wonder, are they suggesting that we trade our modern conveniences and urban landscapes for a romanticized past where disease still ravaged populations, but we were more “in harmony” with nature? Were stay-at-home orders a proxy for keeping us from trodding foot on nature?
Their arguments seem to echo global bastians like the World Economic Forum where Klaus Schwab touts sentiments on reseting the world post-Covid. While there’s merit in contemplating our environmental footprint, the narrative set forth by Fauci and Morens appears to lack the balance and nuanced understanding needed in our discussions about public health and policy-making.
We must not overlook the audacity of these assertions and the implications they bear for public health policy. At the heart of the matter is the need for open dialogue, transparency, and the robust scrutiny of those in power. The recent revelations about Morens’ actions, combined with the tone of the Cell Magazine piece, underscores the necessity for this. Their intentions and dealings are still – opaque.
In the pursuit of a healthier world, let’s ensure we hold our leaders accountable, push for transparency, and encourage a balanced dialogue. We should be distinctly suspicious of calls to “bend modernity” to anyone’s will.

Their human experiments didn't involve cutting off children's sex organs.
The Demonrats have studied the National Socialist German Workers's Party in extreme detail, not to prevent a reoccurrence, but to cause one.
Read Leo Alexander’s article “Medical science under dictatorship”; in it he shows what paved the way for these horrors was the acceptance of the idea of “life unworthy of life”
The article is in the July 14 1949 issue of the NEJM; any decent college library should have the back issues.
