The government-backed group, once tasked with dealing with such things as school shootings and kidnappings, has now, thankfully, pivoted to addressing the existential problem of furry ridicule.
The Safer Schools Initiative, a government-backed organization, recently warned teachers and parents not to ridicule or overreact to schoolkids who identify as “Furries” – defined as “a person who dresses up in costume as such a character or uses one as an avatar online.” Those who identify and dress up as an animal deserve our respect, says SSI. Students who adopt “fursonas,” or personalized animal characters-- and who don fur suits or furry costumes-- need to “feel comfortable expressing themselves,” or so says the respected safe-guarding body.

Its website offers important tips on dealing with the growing numbers of Furries and suggests that one should always approach the child’s interest with “no judgment” and limitless “understanding.” The tips include such gems as, “If a child or young person in your care begins to show an interest in joining any community, be it online or off, how you approach and handle any related conversations is crucial.” And, “It is important to build a safe environment for them based on trust, where they feel comfortable expressing themselves to you.”
Indeed! If a student shows up in a classroom dressed as, say, a squirrel, the teacher should welcome and embrace the wannabe rodent.

It has taken around sixty years for the world to become a real life, full time Monty Python sketch. No more lurking behind closed doors, dressed up as mice, making squeaking sounds and eating cheese. They’re out of their holes.
What we need is to reopen the mental health facilities!
If someone identifies as a rat and I am required to agree with the fact that they are indeed a rat, may I poison them or set a trap for them or just stomp their brains out?
If they do, the problem may resolve itself.
It’s clear now why the Left had pushed so hard for separation of church and state. They needed the church to be muzzled so the state could implement it’s evil agenda.

I keep thinking that we are in a remake of the original Ghostbusters, but this time the Mayor of NY won’t let the guys out of jail, so the hobgoblins and monsters are still pouring out of the subway and wreaking havoc. Real end-of-the-world stuff.

There is a fine line between childhood fantasies and mental illness.
I am also hard core for separation of church and state, but not a leftist at all.
