Bear in mind that until the late 20th century there were no effective remedies.
Well never know for sure how common ED used to be. People didn't talk about it.

The on!y reason it would be prescribed in a nursing home is to keep the old guys from rolling out of their beds.

I seem to remember the vitamin and supplements store had something long before viagra and cialis came along.... can’t remember what it was but folks called it silver bullet or something like that.

Its all the hormones in meat and water. Men are getting man boobs and ED. My best friend has two early twenties sons. She told me years ago she only let them drink bottled water and she only buys organic meat.

It probably has more to do with diabetes than testosterone. ED is all about circulation in little blood vessels. Low T is not usually a huge factor.
The simplest explanation is usually the best: We are a nation of fat boys.

In assisted living, maybe. Nursing homes are not nightclub parking lots.

The years passed, mankind became stupider at a frightening rate. Some had high hopes the genetic engineering would correct this trend in evolution, but sadly the greatest minds and resources where focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections.

I don’t think that means it’s common, it just means the FDA has decided the medication is boring. No serious side effects or consequences to misuse. That’s really what moving something to OTC is about.

While much or most of E.D. is caused by poor life habits, even the best in-shape Boomers are way past their Testosterone producing years. It is a biological fact that as men age they produce less T. That is why so many TRT clinics are popping up nowadays. The Boomers mostly and some Millennials are having the same experience. Easy way to find if you're T deficient...no or fewer morning erections. Of course a simple blood test will be more definitive.
I'm 73 and have tried TRT injections for a number of years. It works if you can afford typically $60 every week or two weeks. TRT also comes in a topical gel or patch. Just make sure it is bio-identical testosterone and not a synthetic steroid.
That will be $100 for the consultation.

The international businessman’s idea of heaven — living in London on an American salary with a Chinese wife and a French chef.
hell is living in Paris on a Chinese salary with an American wife and an English cook.
I’m not sure if it’s still true.

While more than half of men aged 40 to 70 suffer from ED, a growing number of young men are struggling. Research published 10 years ago in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found more than a quarter of men under 40 face new-onset ED.
A friend of mine mentioned this at a guy's night a while back -- that many young guys are buying viagra because they are effectively impotent. All of us at the gathering just kind of shook our heads in disbelief. All of us are fathers of at least three kids -- three of us have six kids or more. We all reached the same conclusion as to what's causing this...

Being a natural woman, I have always wondered how men feel about having sex with a woman who has fake breasts, pumped up lips, hair extensions, tattooed makeup, and butt implants. Seems like it would be an encounter with an Inflatable perfect woman blow up doll.
