A few years ago, I read Oswald Chambers book “Witness” (1952)—all about the Alger Hiss trial in 1949-1950.
Chambers was a Communist who turned away from the party, but had earlier worked with Hiss in the State Department.
The extent of Russian infiltration in the US government in the late 1930s was a real eye-opener.
The book is 600 pages.

WOW: Secret unlicensed Chinese biolab raided in California, CDC found infectious viral agents such as malaria, rubella, HIV, chlamydia, E. Coli, streptococcus pneumonia, hepatitis, and herpes.
The lab also had 900 genetically engineered mice living in ‘inhumane’ conditions with another 175 found dead.
Most the boxes and material found had addresses coming from China, and the company that owned this warehouse had main offices in China.

A) GOP LA Rep Johnson on Fox on impeachment: It is on the table. It’s a very real possibility, not for political purposes. Well, but because that’s our responsibility under the Constitution. We have that that that right and that authority and that duty.
B) Johnson: This is a very serious matter on the House Judiciary Committee. That’s where all this begins. We’re looking at this very carefully. You know, an impeachment inquiry, as Speaker McCarthy has explained, is just the step and moving towards that.
C) Johnson: It gives us more subpoena authority, more discovery power. And that, I think, is called for in this case. So we’ll see what happens over the coming days and coming.

SEATTLE (KOMO) — An explosion at a homeless encampment outside Harborview Medical Center in Seattle was the result of "multiple explosive devices" being detonated, possibly in connection to an ongoing battle for control of the drug trade among the homeless, according to a newly-released police report.
The explosion happened Friday morning, July 21, at the encampment that sits between I-5 and the hospital in downtown Seattle.
