It is frustrating there are not a lot of truly great options for back issues.

This high volume ping list is for health articles and studies which describe something you or your doctor, when informed, may be able to immediately implement for your benefit.
Email me to get on either the “Common/Top Issues” (20 - 25% fewer pings) or “Everything” list.

Now our streets are going to be filled with passed out Placebo Addicts.

If people aren’t given opioids for pain, they’ll go find it (fentanyl). And I’m talking about everyday people here. Opioids will simply go totally black market rogue. We’re halfway there now.

This is one of those studies that I would like to know who paid for.
AND what new miracle drug is waiting in the wings ...
Because it is total BS.
Perhaps with the dose level they allow now ... or perhaps the patients were not properly taught how to utilize the meds.
There is no way that the proper use of opiates did not result in a better life quality for real pain patients.
So ...... I call BS.

The opioid epidemic means they want to massively cut back legitimate use. People in pain will be denied.
“Studies” like this will be used to justify the new policy.
The Lancet lost all credibility during covid.

Dr. Richard Sackler of Purdue Pharma invented the ubiquitous "Pain Assessment Tool" you see in all the hospitals to sell as much of the company's oxycontin as possible.

BS! I have bad low back pain at times and I was not able to lie on a ice pack until taking opioids. Just away for government to control doctor patient relationship.

Bull! If I miss just one dose my back pain often doubles. It's a Devil's bargain because of what it does to my lower GI, but I'd be in a wheelchair otherwise.

BS. I’d know if it was just a placebo which invalidates the test. I’ve taken opioids and there is more that happens than just pain relief.

I distinctly remember an opioid removing my pain. It could have been removing the concern about the pain. "Happy Juice" it was. It is easy to understand how people would become addicted.
Back and neck pain has been with me for decades now. It makes life un-enjoyable. There are indeed few options.

America needs to get over the idea of a pill being a magic way to fix your body.

I once had a 30 degree rotation in my lower spine due to a dirt bike racing accident. Surgeons wanted to cut with no guarantee I would ever walk again. Opioids were prescribed but I barf on them. Can’t take them.
A chiropractor studied my condition after x-rays and put everything back into place, including two herniated discs. His advice was to stay away from opioids and surgeons, and use Tylenol for pain. That worked great. It’s been 30 years later with zero complications from that incident.
