Bud Light has resorted to giving away free beer over the Fourth of July in a desperate bid to reclaim its dwindling market share after the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco.
Although the promotion won't make a 15-pack of Bud Light completely free, customers can submit a rebate offer for $15 to make a big saving on a pack of cold refreshments this holiday weekend.
The beers have to be purchased between June 15 and July 8 to be eligible and consumers will be reimbursed through a prepaid card. The rebate has to be submitted by July 22 and the card is valid for six months.
A similar promotion was offered over Memorial Day weekend following the disastrous partnership with trans influencer Mulvaney in early April.
The boycott by Bud Light's traditional customer base has seen sales plummet by more than 20 percent consecutively for at least six weeks. At the peak of the crisis more than $27bn was wiped off its value.
To receive the Fourth of July rebate, customers can head to Bud Light's website to submit the form and 'allow two to four weeks for receipt of your rebate.'
Customers are allowed to submit up to three rebates, totaling up to $45 of total savings this holiday weekend to stock up for barbeques and celebrations, the company said.
The promotion comes as the beer company attempts to rebound from the Mulvaney implosion, which saw their sales slump to record lows.
The beer's sales dropped 26.8 percent for the week ending June 10, the worst week-on-week performance since its early April advertising campaign resulted in a swift backlash.

Don’t fall for it, fellow beer-drinkers! Stay the course.
Unless you are going target practicing or skeet shooting over the 4th weekend.
If you’re inclined to party, don’t be tempted by Bud Light! Have your party in a haunted house!
(The spirits will bring the boo’s!)
That's 14.5 CENTS A CAN! In Michigan the deposit on the cans alone is $0.10 per can. And they still had a full display case of it.
Another lame attempt to patronize the customer base, and only one day after it was disclosed that they DIDN’T actually fire the dopey lady exec who destroyed the brand.
AH gave it away when they went the woke routine. Dump AH stock ASAP.
Bud Light is a proxy product in a war against our government and its bureaucratic institutions.
It would appear that AB is beginning to feel the hurt
Giving their Beer away for free.
LOL.
It wouldn’t surprise me if some bars took advantage of cheap Bud Light and served it as a similar brand light beer. Would be easy to connect a different brand tap to the keg. Many drinkers would probably not notice.
Even this free beer is not really free.
Freedom ain’t free.
If you could zoom in, I believe they have a “born on” date. Beer only lasts 6 months.
What you see is what I got.
The fine print on the sign says "1 rebate per week."
I wouldn’t drink bud light no matter what, not even if someone was pointing a gun at my head!
When police pull over a person that was apparently driving drunk...
the first question asked should be...
what were you drinking?
If the person responds with “Not Bud Light!”,
then police should let him/her go with “Good job! You can go.”.
(just kidding, of course)
I wouldn’t particularly have a problem buying it if they lose money on every can, although they are trying to avoid other cost involved with disposing of the inventory. And there is the tax write-off value. Only problem is I drink only a can or two every five years so it would definitely be past the “best by” date!
