Ryan Seacrest has yet another job to take on.
Seacrest has been named the new host of “Wheel of Fortune” following Pat Sajak’s retirement, The Post has confirmed.
Along with being the new host, Seacrest, 48, will also serve as a consulting producer on the show, according to a statement from Sony on Tuesday.
“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in a statement. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.
“Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease,” he added. “I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.”
Seacrest added that one of his first jobs was hosting a game show called “Click” for Merv Griffin about 25 years ago, so this opportunity is “truly a full circle moment for me.”
Sajak, 76, said two weeks ago that he would be retiring after 41 years and that the next season of the beloved game show will be his last.
Sajak has hosted “Wheel” since 1981, while Vanna White, 66, joined the show a year later as the iconic letter-turner.

She should have retired 20 years ago. It’s been 41 years with her turning letters. Let WOF give some other woman a shot. Even somebody in her late 30’s would be good enough.
I think he’ll be fine. I live alone and watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune while eating dinner. Sort of ho-hum, but better that eating with just the cat.
BTW, people thought Jeopardy would die with out Alex Trebeck, but Ken Jennings turns out to be reasonably personable too.
IIRC, some people were really upset that Trebek took over for Art Fleming and said no one could ever replace Fleming.
Before that he was the host of American Idol.
Kan and Mayim are both excellent, in different ways.
They couldn’t afford the lawyers.
Not Liz Cheney then?
I’ve heard the name ..going to look him up.
Homo
I do remember his short-lived late night show, he was okay but he just really wasn’t suited for it.
I don’t understand the popularity of the show. The puzzles are goofy and the contestants are usually just a little strange. Pat and Vanna are a little corny, thought not unpleasant. Most of all the show is just very bland.
ANOTHER WHITE MALE!!!??? The trannycult has got to be fuming.
Let’s go woke and have a tranny turner, you just know there have been meetings about this.
Forgot about Art Fleming.
Just looked him up. His Wikipedia page records that Merv Griffin (who hired him for Jeopardy) described Art Fleming as "authoritative, yet warm and interesting."
That strikes me as a remarkably accurate and perceptive description.
Merv Griffin must have been a very intelligent guy.
I saw him not long ago, one time, when he was on that morning show, which I never watch. I was impressed with his quick wit.
Yeah. I think he’ll be just fine.
Oddly, Art Fleming and Alex Trebek died of the same disease.
” Whoopie Rape-rape Goldberg loses to white guy.”
Seriously, I’m glad they didn’t pick a non-white, not because there are no good non-whites out there, but I would interpret it as woke-ism piled high.
My wife enjoys the show. For me it’s become too much the Pat and Vanna show. So nice how at the end Pat and Vanna always have a little conversation with each other.
When I was a kid Gene Rayburn (”Match Game”) and Art Fleming (”Jeopardy”) were on NBC in the 1960’s.
Don Pardo also in my memory announcing those “Jeopardy” shows.
This is a pilot “Match Game” from 1962...

Those Silver Age game show hosts were the best. Art James, Bill Cullen, Jack Barry, Gary Moore, Wink Martindale. Regular guys (Bill Cullen almost qualifies as special needs) who weren’t necessarily handsome, but were likeable guests in the home. I was a game show junkie as a youngster, so I am familiar with most of them. When home sick it was that, cartoons, old sitcoms, or reading comic books (school work?! But I’m SICK!)
