Ryan must have the goods on some bigshots to keep getting those gigs.

That’s when America had a sense of humor. Today Bob would be sued, doxxed and completely destroyed.

I always picture Pat going home and when his wife asks him about his day “I gotta mix a double. This guy kept spinning bankrupt all day. It was brutal.....”

People love Seacrest but he’s on every show, it seems. What I liked about Pat, Alex Trebec, Monty Hall, etal is they stayed with their shows as hosts long term. Seacrest goes from one show to another so he won’t be there long. I say 5 years max.

Seacrest will destroy the brand. Two seasons, tops.
Ya think? I've seen Seacrest in bits and pieces over the years and I don't see how he'd have too much trouble. I'd say he pretty successfully replaced Dick Clark on New Year's Eve and he seems to be generally straight-laced.
He's more polished then Ken Jennings and seems to me like he'd allow the show to be about the game and not about him.
I barely watch live TV anymore, and haven't seen WoF in years. But on seeing the name, my first instinct was that it was a decent choice.

I don't even need to watch the video to know what clip you're referencing ;)

I didn't know that. Course I don't watch a lot. I thought he had that decently long gig on American Idol, but bailed, rightfully. Then he stands beside and eventually replaces Dick Clark, huge shoes to fill, but does it well. I wasn't aware of much more.

“Seacrest hit the lottery. Easy job with an easy schedule and guaranteed millions.”
???????????
You mean, unlike his gig on American Idol?

Too busy playing pickleball.

I stand corrected and I just looked it up FWIW.
Pat was making somewhere between 14-15 million dollars a year and Seacrest recently signed a new American Idol contract paying him about the same.
Surprising. I still think Wheel of Fortune is a much safer gig than American Idol. It’s been around forever and I think it is the most watched show among seniors.
I wonder if he is going to try and do both shows?

In two years you’ll hear of him again as he exits WoF due to crappy ratings.

Wouldn’t want to overwork him.
Probably 8 hrs/wk to do both, total.
