Merrick Garland wants to take your guns (and their accessories) away, the Constitution be damned.
In January 2023, the attorney general, Merrick Garland, signed ATF final rule 2021R-08F (the Rule), which calls for the registration of pistol braces in furtherance of the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968. The Rule is wholly unconstitutional and fraudulently established. In this post, I will break down both the unconstitutionality of the Rule and the fraudulent basis upon which it has been established.
Let's start with the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment. Without the Bill of Rights, we would not have a United States today.
When the newly adopted Constitution was sent from Philadelphia to the States for ratification, it faced serious challenges. One of the most contentious issues was the absence of a Bill of Rights. What became known as the Massachusetts Compromise, advanced by none other than John Hancock, offered a solution: in the first congress after the ratification of the Constitution, Congress would propose a Bill of Rights. Twelve amendments were sent to the States for ratification. Ten were ratified. (One was ratified in 1992; the other is still before the states.)
It is a common misconception that the Bill of Rights grants certain rights to citizens. It does no such thing. The Bill of Rights recognizes God-given, inalienable rights. What, then, is an inalienable right? An inalienable right is an intrinsic liberty, granted to you by God that creates no countervailing obligation on another. Inalienable rights are symmetrical: I recognize them in you, and you recognize them in me.
The Second Amendment is clearly one such right, as the right to self-defense is absolute. Make no mistake: the Second Amendment is not about hunting, or plinking. It's about repelling intruders and tyrants...

This is not about anything except poking the right with a stick.
Charlton Heston on guns: you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands!
Garland is PURE EVIL!!
They will not make firearms illegal, they’ll just ban one part at a time until it’s impossible to (legally) own a functional firearm.
Molon labe.
Charlton Heston on guns: He pushed for the dead in Congress 1968 Gun Control Act with the NRA and got it revived and passed.
So were the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968.
89 years and no one has done anything about it.
I saw Charlton Heston say that in person in a speech he gave at, of all places, CU Macky Auditorium in Boulder, CO. There were police separating protestors from attendees at the entrance and a few protestors got into the audience to disrupt several times during the event.
My sad prediction: Voter fraud (see my tagline) will give us a succession of Democrat presidents. Which will eventually make the Supreme Court liberal.
Then will come a ruling saying that the 2A refers to the state militia, now known as the National Guard. It does not refer to individual people.
That argument has been made before. It’s nonsense, of course. The word “people” is right there in the 2A. But it won’t matter. Just as the words in the Soviet constitution didn’t matter to Stalin.
Pistol braces? Didn’t most Americans lose those in a spate of recent boating incidents?
That’s why the founders were quoted as explaining that SOCUTS was not the final arbiter of what the constitution said, but the people.
Until these commies are made to realize they have serious skin in the game, they will continue to encroach wherever they can.
At that point, the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants. We have that responsibility.
They want it to be illegal to be against them. This is what Obama was all about.
SOCUTS = SCOTUS.
I was there. That’s the ONLY time I’ve gone to Boulder.
Didn’t like it but got the paperwork submitted last month.
Merrick Garfinkel can Kiss My A@@!!!!
Continuing on in my grumpy pessimist mode:
The “progressives” are evil, but they are not stupid. Erasure of the 2A will be complete, but it will be gradual. It will take decades, and be so gradual that most folks won’t notice it.
It’ll be kinda like the federal income tax. That tax started out in 1861 as a flat 3% of income. Now the highest rate is 37%. Nobody cares much.
It’s the old frog in a slowly boiling pot story.
(Okay, I’ve done enough complaining for the day. Time to watch an episode of ‘Leave It To Beaver’ on DVD, and see what that scamp Eddie Haskell is up to.)
