Law enforcement in Portland is using a new approach to tackle illegal and dangerous drugs on the city's streets.
A Portland police officer recently arrested a man in the downtown area for "Practicing Medicine Without a License" after the officer spotted him dealing drugs.
Officer Eli Arnold has been with the Portland Police Bureau for approximately six years. He has spent the last two years on the bureau's Central Bike Squad

Seems smart. Is the DA just going to shrug and say “We don’t prosecute people who practice medicine without a license”? I don’t think Big Medicine would like that.
Yes give them store fronts in abandoned office buildings.
Free space since they lost their tenants.
Our laws and the bureaucracy surrounding them are so vast and complex, they actually create a state of political anarchy and a lawless society
Also, everything is against the law if someone doesn't like you.
All this means is the city will start selling medicinal aid permits now to generate tax revenue I bet.
Never let a chance to make money go to waste...
I was in Portland in the BCE(Before Covid Era), and the downtown area was basically a hellhole, had my car doors locked.
Seems smart-alecky. The cop is making a point. It’s still up to the DA whether to take the case, or take a plea. But the point is made. It is a creative way for the cops to make the DA’s look ridiculous.
