A year after the Supreme Court’s dramatic overturning of Roe v. Wade, Chelsea Clinton revealed she’s still “really f***ing angry” about the decision. “That is an uncomfortable place to be because of the historical women tropes that so often have been used to silence and diminish women and our voices,” Clinton said at the Aspen Ideas: Health summit. “I’m really angry because we know that women have died.” She gave an example of how pregnant women who need “medically indicated necessary care” can be denied an abortion due doctors’ fears that the fetus might be seen as “viable” in the eyes of the law. “We have moved forward to again a time in which we are making women more vulnerable because of a very extreme, narrowly rendered view of Christian white nationalism,” Clinton shared.

This is as good an opportunity as any to ask a question that’s been rumbling around my head on the anniversary of the decision:
How many pregnant females have, in fact, perished in the US of any cause in the last 12 months? Of those, how many due to complications of childbirth? And lastly, of those, how many because of a condition in which, prior to Dobbs, a medical practitioner would have recommended an abortion AND due to Dobbs the female did not receive an abortion and therefore perished?
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the answer is zero, none, bupkis. If *one* such case happened it would’ve been leading news for weeks straight. Before Dobbs abortions for rape, or for incest, or for actual threat to the mother’s life were sub-1%. Almost all of it was one form or another of lifestyle choice (economic, or didn’t want, or had enough, etc., but one form or another of I-want-sex-without-consequences).
Yet the left and the left-media dwell entirely on this supposed harm because they know if the facts are made clear, “I didn’t wanna have” is a hideous reason to kill someone.
How many abortions does she want to have?
“Christian white nationalism” is the apparent problem to Chelsea. Also a problem to Satan himself, coincidentally.
So she won’t mind if her kids abort her grandkids someday?
