Shameless, bored vanity - What Rock legends (those that are left) need to make amends w/ band mates, and treat us again?

Who else needs to figuratively kiss and make up?

At the rate they are dying off (and with what's left), I can only think of 2 cases - Roger and Rick of Supertramp, and Dennis and Tommy of Styx.

I'm sure there are many more.

Add to the list.

Of the two I listed, I would expect a Supertramp reunion before a Styx reunion - just my opinion of course.

Ritchie Blackmore with everyone. He ain’t getting any younger.

I think Roger Waters is too far gone.

Maybe Peter Gabriel with Genesis?

I saw a quote from Roger, he said that he always tries to do what his fans ask. And most recently his fans has asked him to reach out to Rick, and try to get a tour going with the original band. So, he reached out, and Rick being the “richard cranium” that he is, refused to even consider it.

Which makes me sad. I was too young to see them before they broke up, and I would pay to see them now.

Roger treated Rick like crap, so I wouldn’t blame Rick.

So his fans ask him to be an antisemite?

Richard Wright has been dead for close to 1½ decades. Can’t have been too recent. Maybe it’s Nick Mason who has the beef with him?

Yeah, it's a shame. A tour w/ them - or Styx would be a ticket I'd pay for as well. I reluctantly paid around $350 for two seats to see Boz Scaggs in West Palm a few years ago. Let's just say it was a good investment.

None. Its their business. We don’t know the full stories behind the situations.

There is an urge to wish for harmonious reunions for our favorite musicians who parted on bad terms.
(”I’d like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony!”

Maybe that’s the wrong thing to wish for.
Think about it, much of that popular music was written because somebody was in a foul mood about one thing or another. Perhaps that angst was necessary for the performer to reach deep into his bowels of creativity and pull out a glimmering, dripping mass of.. . of what?

Melodrama, Complete unflinching sincerity, A taste of evil, followed by something that makes us afraid, A garish pride in being ‘guilty’ of all charges, A profound faith in the strength of romantic love, ,A trembling jealous rage, Ambitions borne of Envy and friendly competition, the joy of momentarily surrendering all control, etc...

In other words, we often need some conflict in our lives before we are inspired to create some way out of that conflict.

Have you noticed how often well known performers will feign having a problem with another performer i.e. ‘a feud’?
Dischord or dissonance often gets more attention than predicted harmony, at least for a while.

I agree to a point, but human nature makes us want them to play together again, right? We’re getting run down w/ inflation, gubbmint intrusion, you name it. It would be a nice respite on our way.

In my two examples, Styx and Supertramp - you have 2 bands each w/ 2 songwriters (which is usually the problem). I think Styx was always more un-fixable because of Mr. Roboto, etc. Supertramp guys just didn’t like each other much apparently.

None of them. Music has moved on. There are plenty of new talents making great music on the scene without trying to resurrect old drug addicted rockers with anger issues.

Dennis Deyoung should return to Styx, Lou Gramm to Foreigner, Steve Perry to Journey.

Sadly, for most of the bands I’d like to see reunited, death has placed a barrier that cannot be crossed.
