PORTLAND, Ore. — With a need for more families to help foster youth and especially LGBTQ+ youth, a new campaign has been launched to recruit new resource families.
The campaign called Fostering Pride is a collaboration between the Oregon Department of Human Services, along with Basic Rights Oregon, Unicorn Solutions and several other pride organizations.
They say youth identifying as LGBTQ+ are overwhelmingly represented within the foster care system, and like all children, they need supportive environments to thrive.
"Nationally, up to 1 in 3 youth in foster care identify as LGBTQIA2S+," said Elliott Hinkle, founder of Unicorn Solutions.
Fostering Pride is offering a series of information sessions for members of the LGBTQ+ community interested in becoming resource families.

Someone who knows more please enlighten me.
But, for kids in foster care, aren’t they by definition coming from difficult family and life situations?
And aren’t issues of whether they think they are homosexual or transsexual or whatever, really far down the list of concerns, in taking care of such kids???
Foster children are already at a disadvantage without parents to guide them and be role models. Then they only have case workers to watch out for them. It becomes a matter of placing the foster kids. Target rich environment for predators. I’m sure that most foster parents are decent people, but there are those who are making a decent living and maybe they cut corners to maximize income versus expenses. And then there are going to be predators.
Just look out for all of them why separate? ...we used to call leftists snowflakes ...can’t think of a term weaker than that but these lgbts are the most butthurt ppl on earth.

This is getting crazier by the day. After the Marxists screw up the minds of the kids to think they are something other than male and female, they then kidnap the kids and take them away from their natural parents who don’t go along with the transition lies. The Marists then proceed to have the kidnapped kids mutilated, turning them into freaks, and then they think they are going to find responsible foster parents to care for of them. Of course, all they will find are pedophiles and other freaks who want to do who knows what with the kids. How is this going to turn out anything other than a circular freak show? I hate to even think about what these demonic Marists are doing to the children.
This would make me think twice before signing on to be a foster parent. The last thing I need is some foster kid reporting me for not affirming them or making me drag them around to get shots of their opposite sex hormones. These kids have enough mood swings to contend with without this sh*t.
