Poor guy, RIP, but isn't there a saying that you should only eat oysters in a month with an 'r".

That’s what I thought. I don’t eat them raw or cooked so.. Closest I get to raw fish is that fake crab meat stuff.

Poor guy. So sad for his family.
There is actual good reason to stick with the adage of only eating oysters when there is an R in the month.

I thought you should only eat raw oysters with the letter "z" in them...
Actually I like fried oysters. The best I ever had were from restaurants in the Kyoto/Osaka area. They were all great at the different restaurants I tried (even the Osaka airport restaurant). I've never could find anything like them in the SF Bay Area. I don't know why Kyoto/Osaka would have exclusive rights to knowing how to prepare and cook fried oysters, but that was my experience.

The literature on this is quite interesting.
Oysters, by filtering water, tend to get very high concentrations of this critter, and if the water temperature is much over 20C, it’s pretty ubiquitous from the Chesapeake on down south.
I was force-fed two oysters down in Florida a month ago, and didn’t give a thought to the fact that they were NOT locally harvested.
Odds are the guy had cirrhosis or diabetes. It’s a stretch to blame it on the jab. I also know people who will not touch sea water because of this. Makes no sense because they surf fish…
