NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The former student who shot through the doors of a Nashville Christian elementary school in March and killed three children and three adults died from gunshot wounds to the head, torso and other parts of the body, an autopsy report released Monday showed.
The autopsy said the manner of death of 28-year-old Audrey Hale was homicide. The report — released by the medical examiner in Davidson County, which encompasses Nashville — said Hale not only had gunshot wounds but also blunt force trauma throughout the body.
Hale opened fire at the Covenant School on March 27 before being shot to death by officers.
The release of the report comes as a growing collection of groups are embroiled in a complex legal battle over the release of Hale’s writings and other documents in the police investigation. The Tennessean newspaper, a state senator, a law enforcement nonprofit and a gun-rights organization are advocating for the release in the records.
Meanwhile, a group of Covenant School parents, the Covenant School and Covenant Presbyterian Church have been allowed to intervene to fight against the publication of the documents.
On Monday, a Nashville judge declined to pause the court proceedings so that those seeking the records could wait on their appeal of a decision allowing the Covenant School parents to intervene in the case.
Chancery Court Judge I’Ashea Myles stated that the Legislature intended for public records cases to be expedited and they are not supposed to take as long as other legal battles. She said that hitting pause on the case now would undermine that intent.

What does this mean and how does coroner determine a crime was committed - thought that had to go to a court to determine.
Sounds like the FBI determining what is or is not a crime when all they do is collect (or hide) evidence - nothing more. Their analysis does not determine if a case is to be brought forward (i.e., James Comey declaring Hillary Clinton did not commit a crime)
I would think it would be of some solace for anyone involved, as well as all genuine Americans from sea to shining sea, to have proof that the little psycho had the crap beaten out of her before being filled with lead. What's the harm in releasing that info?

The autopsy report is just saying that the shooter was killed instead of dying from natural causes. The use of the word homicide does not mean that someone needs to be charged.
Audrey in the report. That should set off the trans community once again.
Blunt force trauma? Did someone stomp her after they shot her in the head? Did shooting her in the head cause her to drop, and land on stuff that caused this trauma?
Standard autopsy jargon meaning death was caused by another individual. Not indicative of any crime.
She was wearing ballistic armor, so the shots stopped by the armor would have left bruises instead of penetrating.

“According to the autopsy report, Hale was wearing a white shirt with “handwritten words, drawings and numbers written on it.” The report did not detail what the writings said, but noted handwritten words were also found on Hale’s bra.
Law enforcement has said Hale was transgender and also went by “Aiden.” The autopsy report said Hale was carrying a red pocket knife with name “AIDEN” monogrammed on it.”
I would think a term like deadly force would be more appropriate (blunt force trauma/lead projectile trauma I guess). Perhaps I am too sensitive to the words chosen these days to tell me what happened. I wouldn’t call citizens, police or military responding deadly force with deadly force that kills someone a homicide.
The cops kicked her body? Landed on her with their knees while cuffing her? Orc was she beat up or did she injure herself before attacking the school?

Ah, memories of high-school Latin when the new chapter’s vocabulary list include “homo, hominis” (man), and our saintly instructor called on a bright but smart-alecky kid to ask if he could think of any English derivatives. “Homosexual?” the boy proffered, with a sh-t eating grin. The class erupted in giggles.
“Wrong language” growled the teacher. “That’s Greek for the same sex, but it’s fascinating where your mind is at. Fascinating” And, again, the class erupted in laughter.
In 2023, that teacher would likely be fired.
