LBJ vs. the Nuclear Family
The American Conservative ^ | 12/29/2016 | Goeglein

“… in 1966, a political revolution emerged in America that would have a massive impact on millions of families and marriages. The man behind it was President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who reached the White House amid a national tragedy but grabbed the reins of power quickly and purposefully, bent on transforming the country. Though he is lionized in popular culture these days, it is worth asking whether the celebratory tone accurately reflects the results of his revolution, at least in terms of his massive Great Society.”

…….

“Johnson incorporated Moynihan’s study into a speech at Washington’s Howard University that suggested that poor black families should be given a guaranteed, government-provided income. Johnson and his policy team believed that expanding government funding for broken families would help save them. Instead, it incentivized single mothers to remain unmarried. By expanding welfare state programs to Americans who were already experiencing serious stress and hardship, it deepened the problems of illegitimacy, fatherless homes, and other cultural problems. Millions of Americans soon were engulfed in permanent chaos and dysfunction. A plague of fatherlessness ensued, with nearly 72 percent of all American black children being born to single mothers by 2015.”

“Or let’s ask another question of the third generation of feral black: why are there more black kids in jail than college?”

They are taught, and largely believe, that they are so for no other reason than that they are black. They believe the lies about “systemic racism” and they passionately hate whites. Obama’s army.

And never before has something so small that is voluntarily ingested or used had such profound extensive negative effects as contraception. Fornication, which besides health effects, cost:

(CDC)

Reduced US birth rate, by about half of what is was in 1960 from 24 births per 1,000 people to 12 births per 1,000 people in 2017 (and more so from 1910)

Share of U.S. children living with an unmarried parent more than doubled since 1968,

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2018/04/27/about-one-third-of-u-s-children-are-living-with-an-unmarried-parent/

Number of children living with their father only, more than quadrupled from 0.8 million (1%) to 3.3 million (4.5%) between 1968 and 2020.

Rising age of of mother's first child in the United States from 24.6 in 1970 (and much higher in 1800s) to 30 in 2-22.

Thus, parents waiting to have children until it requires less sacrifice of time and money means children being more likely to be spoiled, and not learning delayed gratification, and combined with having no or few siblings to learn share things with and to resolve conflicts, as well as compete with, and increased absentee fathers (and lack of judicious corporal discipline), and to be orderly and productive, results in fostering increasingly fearful and over sensitive, protesting generations, and demanding of having their own way, and intolerant of any opposing opinions, having an elevated sense of themselves as superior in intellect.

Meaning your typical MSM and college educated liberal, promoting such perversity as conservatives object to.

LBJ may literally have destroyed our republic, single-handedly almost.

one man can not single handedly do anything...the stupid people of this country did it too themselves...they fell for the JFK “sympathy” vote garbage in 1964 and gave Johnson the biggest Majorities in Congress i think ever..295-140 in the House and, shockingly, 68-32 in the Senate. The guy could do whatever he wanted. Scary part is, the dumb asses almost did it again 2008, giving Obama a huge Congress.

I remember getting the propaganda when I was in grade school, thru Scholastic Magazine, free to grade schoolers, that LBJ pop’s Great Society programs would wipe out poverty in a generation.

Only in the North. Southern Blacks (those that could vote) didn’t fully go to the dark side until 1964.

Although I did get into some local voting a lot of years ago I was meaning the black vote for president, in 1936 the blacks did a complete reverse from Republican to Democrat.

In 1932 FDR won the typical Dem portion of the black vote with 23%, in 1936 that historical voting pattern permanently reversed with 71% of the black vote going for FDR and they never looked back.

Black party registration lagged some but it caught up quickly enough.

Interestingly LBJ got a record (before Obama) 94% of the black vote, before the legislation he was talking about.

LBJ got sucker punched in an election in Texas. Fell victim of the “look, we found more votes” . Johnson knew he had been screwed and let it slide. He let it slide until the next election when he used the “found votes” tactics himself to cement his victory..

Crooked elections, interference from the FBI, nothing new , it should be no surprise they are screwing Trump now.

JFK was awarded the Navy Cross for his actions after his PT109 was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer on the night of August 2, 1943. His father pressured the Navy to give him The Medal Of Honor but Kennedy's actions on that night prior to the sinking were called into question and he was told to back off.

JFK was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, their version of the Soldier’s Medal, a non-combat award for bravery, as my friend got on one of our exercises.

Thanks for the info. His old man did try and push for the MOH but Kennedy had screwed up on the patrol that night and if it went to a Naval Inquiry Board it would have proved embarrassing for Kennedy's political future. In effect the Navy told Joe Kennedy to zip it and back off.

As Robert Caro and Randall Woods have demonstrated in their histories of the Johnson era, the president intimidated feckless members of Congress into supporting his new federal leviathan.

If I recall, the first of the Robert Caro biographies of LBJ, which ultimately have run to four volumes (with a fifth in the works), was serialized in the New Yorker magazine in the early 80s. It was still a time of reasonably tolerant relations between average voters of the two parties for most Americans. Reading about LBJ's early career and rigged election to the Senate was a major Red Pill for me. What a horrible man.

Here is an explanation and some charts illustrating your point. Although the reversal began with FDR, it wasn't "complete" -- both party identification and actual voting preference -- until Truman.

I notice that the source article from FactCheck is from 2008, so it leaves out the years that would have shown a surge in blacks voting GOP for Trump.
