A Michigan city with an all-Muslim government has banned LGBTQ+ flags from public areas after a bizarre hourslong meeting that saw displays of passion from both sides.
A woman wearing a clown nose made a speech at the meeting - which was so well attended people were listening from the hallways - mocking the council and its majority-Muslim population during the public comment portion of the Hamtramck City Council before kissing a woman standing next to her Tuesday night.
'Sure, many Hamtramck residents have fled countries where being gay is a death sentence, but nothing says we have to make it 'comforting' and 'welcoming' here,' the woman said.
'While we can't legally discriminate against LGBTQ people in the United States anymore, the City of Hamtramck can say, 'Ew, no, be proud somewhere else.''
Some members of the all-Muslim council said the Pride flag clashes with the beliefs of some members of their faith. Businesses and residents aren´t prohibited from displaying a Pride flag on their own property.
'You guys are welcome,' council member Nayeem Choudhury said. '(But) why do you have to have the flag shown on government property to be represented? You´re already represented. We already know who you are.'
'We want to respect the religious rights of our citizens,' Choudhury said.
Hamtramck, population 27,000, is an enclave surrounded by Detroit. More than 40% of residents were born in other countries, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, and a significant share are of Yemeni or Bangladeshi descent.
Hamtramck became the first city in America to have a majority Muslim population in 2015.
The two women kissing were followed up by Dearborn activist Hassan Aoun, who spoke passionately against the Pride flag on public property.

I must respectfully disagree. Perhaps if one had five warheads, but if one only had four, nuke San Fran and Mordor-on-the-Potomac first, and then nuke them again for good measure, and then see if either is worthy of a third nuke before considering wasting the nuke on Detroit.
Besides, Detroit already looks like it has been nuked

It used to be. I don’t think I’ve been there in 20 years, but within that time things clearly have changed.
An easy prediction to make is that the wishy-washiness of Christian denominations in resisting the transgender insanity is going to result in an uptick of conversions to Islam. Young people who are sick of woke nonsense are going to look for strong spiritual backing for their revulsion to the transgender agenda - if Christian churches aren’t going to give it to them, they’ll look elsewhere.
Who knows.. maybe our moslem brethren will do some of the “work” we can’t!

Hamtramck…..used to be all Polish Catholic.
When the Muslims took over the city government, you now have the call
to prayer 5 times a day. The city allows animal sacrifice.
There was a story when the city went all Muslim that the outgoing mayor was “shocked” by some statements made by a Muslim council member when he said they were going to get rid of all non-Muslims.
I’d love to see them all go back to where they came from, but I do applaud them for standing up to the LGBTQ

They didn’t ban the rainbow flag by name. They simply said the only flags to flu from city buildings are the American, state/city, POW/MIA and flags other nations for say a dignitary visit.
