Former President Donald Trump on Sunday branded the 37-count federal indictment he faces as nothing more than a “distraction” from the bribery allegations levied against President Biden - while also taking aim at his own ex-attorney general William Barr for not backing him over the classified documents case.
Trump, 76, in an interview with ally Roger Stone, said he doubted it was a “coincidence” that he was charged for allegedly storing hundreds of classified government files at his Mar-a-Lago estate at the same time as Republicans revealed more details regarding an FBI informant’s accusation that Biden took part in a $5 million bribery scheme involving the Ukrainian company Burisma.
“It’s to cover up a massive crime being revealed by Republicans in the House,” Trump, who denies any wrongdoing, said on the inaugural episode of “The Roger Stone Show” on WABC 770 AM.
“It’s a distraction,” he continued. “The indictment is a disgrace… And it was put out at a time when they found horrible things about the Biden family.”
The former president also described the new charges against him as “unpatriotic.”
He then slammed Barr, who said earlier on Sunday that he believed his former boss was “toast” after reading the indictment.
“The government acted responsibly. It was Donald J. Trump who acted irresponsibly,” Barr said on “Fox News Sunday.” “They’re solid counts. Even if half of this is true he’s toast.”
Trump insisted nothing could be further from the truth, labeling Barr as a “coward who didn’t do his job.”
“He was gutless. He was desperately afraid of being impeached,” Trump claimed about his former loyalist’s exit from the White House.

Ok, live in denial.
Can everyone please quit playing Monday morning quarterback and understand that Trump was new to “Official Washington”, had NO idea that the town was as completely corrupt as it is (and neither did most of us, until, ironically, we saw all that corruption leveled at Trump). When he got into office, he was trusting people recommended to him that we all know now to be scoundrels. This isn’t on Trump, this is on the corrupt people he thought were on the level but ended up betraying him.
The lesson he learned, and that we all should learn, is that there are NO “on the level” people in “Official Washington.”
You’re correct. I remember one of his first interviews after being sworn in. I can’t remember who was interviewing him but he said he was surprised the things that went along with the job, what he could do and not do. He said some things he wanted to know a about were off limits because his advisors told him “no Mr. President, that’s not advisable”. Reince Previous was his main problem in the beginning.
Meant Reince Preibus.
It’s on Trump that he fired Bannon.
I think we were all wrong in regards to Barr.
Trump treated his closest aides like crap. What does he expect from them now?
“Trust Barr!” The Q-Balls quacked.
L
Barr was his second worst choice behind Pence.
>> According to Trump, everyone he hired is a gigantic piece of shit.
That is a factually not true. So what does stating mistruths say about you two?
Trump is Doomed. No way he recovers from this one—and if he does—another case is coming in Georgia that will take him down. If Not RINO DeSantis will finish the job. I do not think the FBI will permit him to run or even be alive. They have an accident all ready for him—or a “Heart Attack” (All that fast food—did a number on his heart—too bad). They will give him a fine funeral FOX will even cover it. Blame? Trump did it to himself. When he is buried—so too will be buried American Democracy. The question is what should Trumps supporters do? Forget him? Call him stupid for trusting the wrong people? Change parties and join the winning Democrats? Remember Trump—he tried to change things but it was too late to reverse the March of the Left.
you never vouched for someone and as soon as others came in the room they changed?? there are only 2 people in my whole life I can say are truly straight up. all the rest were Barrs...
Trump may get convicted but he is not toast.
Bannon called Barr and Wray traitors on Warroom this morning.
Not only that, they boxed him in. The pussygate tape and pissgate “dossier” were fully intended to destroy him before the election. They were caught flat footed when he won and was putting Flynn in as Nat Sec advisor.
They scrambled for a plan to control him. Pence lied about Flynn and got him fired. Comey ran FBI spies against Trump. They put in deep state McMaster and others.
As far as him appointments, the Business Advisory council almost all quit immediately in the face of DC and leftist boycotts, street terror, and personal destruction for merely serving on that non partisan advisory board.
McConnell went into recess when Obama was President, but for the entire Trump administration, he kept the Senate in pro=-forma session to prevent recess appointments. He let Obama have recess appointments, but not Trump.
And Trump’s campaign centerpiece was that he wanted to bring in Wall Street “killers” for trade and treaty negotiations.
But that pool dried up as anyone who worked with Trump was subject to street terrorism at home, at their office, and in restaurants. Murder was not out of the question, bit permanent destruction of their career was guaranteed.
The pool of possible appointees immediately dried up, and he was left with only McConnell’s approved list for any Senate confirmed position.
So he was left with a CIA and FBI spy infested White House, deep state only appointees, outright executive branch slow walking and disobedience of his executive orders, and the threat from McConnell and Graham that the GOP would impeach and remove him for any further firings after Comey.
The fact is that due to treason and progressive street terrorism, Trump had what I estimate to be about 33% of the power a President normally has. He had little control of things not within his immediate sight.
Billy Boy Barr was an infiltrator sent to infiltrate the Trump administration and provide information to his RAT massahs. Bagpipe blowing bass turd.
Great post! Thank you!
