As far back as 2002-03 the church I was a member of had armed congregants, and friends of mine who went to other churches also had armed security/congregants too.

I’ve been attending churches for years that have been doing that.
And here in NH?
No question about it at all.

I’m always an armed congregant but no one knows it. That’s why it’s called Concealed Carry.

The fourth option is no bueno. Basically a gun-free zone (aka “free-fire zone for deranged criminals”).

Not my PCUSA church. There’s a “No Guns Allowed” sticker on the doors. So were safe.

While my little church has one of us assigned to watch the cameras and the front door with a pistol at hand, the rest of us males all carry, some on their person, some in a hand case with the bible.
Almost all the males are vets and CCL guys anyway, including the minister.

Go to Mass in a very heavy Italian neighborhood. Believe me, quite a few are carrying. Pity the fool who tries anything in our parish.

We have too many. It is like a sign of fear. One follows the pastor around and one follows his wife.

Well, which is it? Half of protestant churches in America, or half of ALL churches in the U.S., period?

The church I sometimes go to has trained congregants with concealed weapons. A gunman would only have seconds to shoot.

Our parish has a safety committee with organized trained, armed, and ready parishioners at each mass. They are recognizable with their secret service earpiece comms.
