and people just film it and make lots of comments, did anyone think to call police or try to stop it rather than just see it as entertainment and post online?
One way or another, the global population seems destined to get down to that 500 million mark.
It's all they can do, film with their phones. It's either entertainment or filming cops so they can get them in trouble.

It reminds me of when our family used to go to the Drive-Thru safari at Six Flags Great Adventure, in Jackson, NJ. You never knew what the baboons might do. They had a particular fondness for shredding vinyl roofs.

If my local neighborhood apps and FB are any indications, people call the police all the time about everything.
Here's a typical conversation:
OP: Someone knocked on my door.
Neighbor 1: Call the police!
Neighbor 2: Answer it.
Neighbor 1: No! That's way to risky! Call the police!
Neighbor 3: Call the police and have them dust for fingerprints.
Neighbor 1: Call the police! I'm praying for you.
Neighbor 666: No God exists.
OP: It was a guy selling solar.
Neighbor 1: Call the police!
Neighbor 1: ...and get lawyer. People can't just knock on your door. Call the police!
Neighbor 4: I think I saw a coyote and heard gunshots. Definitely automatic fire. The whole clip was emptied. Call the police!

More like he's been using her welfare check for crack. And not sharing.
A wise person would get nowhere near that. If you tried to stop that driver and made it worse where the woman, who put herself on that hood, was injured or died, you would be paying for it for the rest of your life.
Call the police and film it for the record but do NOT ever try to engage in such a "domestic" dispute that involves a deadly vehicular weapon.
Of course the first rule is to not go near Troy or Albany, New York.
Or anywhere NY.
